My daughter saw the show when she was 9 because she loves theatre and we talked to her first about certain aspects of the show. If he's mature for his age and loves theatre as an art then absolutely, but if you're taking him because you're going and he may just fidget and kick the seat the whole time, then no :-)
Have fun, honestly I think he'll enjoy it.

To accurately answer this question, I would need to know how mature this boy is.
Without that information, I would initially say no, but my answer really depends on how much you want to explain to him. If you are up to fielding his questions about what ever they might talk about in the musical, go for it. I think he would definately enjoy the music, dancing, and overall experience of seeing the show, but If you do not want to explain the sexual innuendo of parts of the show, or the Anti-Semetic aspects, do not take him.

Well yes and no, it depends on how mature the kid is. There are references to homosexuality, nazis, and sexual innuendos.
I think the show is very well put together. It's funny and has great songs and dance. It would be enjoyable.

It depends on the boy and his maturity level. If you're comfortable with the light sexual content, and the heavy (though ironic) anti-Semitism, then it's fine.
