Well most people will say Love. But It really isn't. The cause is stupidity. Stupidity from the two lovers, Stupidity from society and stupidity from the Parents. Romeo and Juiliet are your classic high school romance. (too much drama for them to handle). The Parents don't know how to raise their children. And society is telling them they are being rebellious which is encouraging the descion.

Youth and rebellion - because they were young they lacked the experience necessary to cope with the situation and their love was forbidden so they had to rebel against their upbringing and family's to have what they most desired - each other. Ultimately it was their own youth and rebel efforts that caused their untimely demise.

Love, their love for each other couldn't keep them apart, they were also very young and rebelious. They knew very well they couldn't be together, but the love that they shared made an unbrakable bond between them....

A bottle of poison and a dagger to the heart. Their desire to be with one another and do anything to be together whether in life or death.
