what can i do to get into acting.most of the agents say that i need a resume(probly spelt that wrong) with all the projects that i done.I have 0 commercials or anthing that is big.I live in Boston MA.its a cupple of hours away from NY.Are agents expensive?

im 13 and i live in a small town in texas with a population of 3000. i really want to be an actor, but i dont know how to further my dream.i take speech in school,(the speech as in acting, not the 1 where i cant talk right) butim the best one in class and its boring cus its so easy. how do i further it?

My friend is doing a duet pantomime scene and in it and it is very 17th century French farce. Putting on huge dresses and corsettes etc. Hilarity hopefully. She is allowed to use background music for the scene and she needs a piece from the period and setting that has no words in it. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated!

My point is that like Miley Cyrus auditioned for Hannah Montana but how are most people suppost to knowwhen there are auditions going on!Another example is Michelle Rodriquez.These 2 girls were normal girls.How can u know when their are auditons going on!I really want to know and get told when their are! Alright, I am doing an advisory activity for one of my classes. What I want to do is take a small two person dialogue from an old English play (Romeo and Juliet, etc). Then I want groups of two to translate their own part into common day English. After that is done, They will read their parts to each other and see how close their translation skills mirrored an actually conversation.

Its meant to be fun, but also educational. I am wondering if anyone has any ideas for plays to use and what scenes..specific dialogue because I have probably not read it. I dont want to be generic and go with Romeo or Hamlet, but something that isn't worldly known. Any ideas are welcome...thanks!

Or is it better for a play to just be a play? Will the play lose it's effect if the audience already knows the ending?

(Please don't make reference to Shakespeare, since I'm referring more to contemporary/ modern themes.)
