The best production I ever saw of Les Mis was on the smallest stage ever. They did have a set that turned and everything. Check out high schools, community theatres, anyone can do a good production, you never know until you check it out. I saw a community theatre and a high school do a better job acting-wise than what I saw on Broadway, no lie.

Unfortunately, it's not touring the U.S. right now. Check local college and high school troups, often times they do an excellent job (albeit without the really cool Broadway stage!)
