What should I write, should I lie, or tell the truth, but if I tell the truth I wont get anywhere probably, so i don't know please help give me some tips in acting resume's. Please help me out maybe tell me some cathy things I could write or something.
Thankyou

Be honest. Agents tend to look at your prior experience for reference only to see what roles you can play. If you don't have a lot of experience, put down whatever you do have and be willing to do an audition for them with 2 very different types of monologues/songs. This will allow them to best see what sides you can play and what kinds of parts would be good for you. If you lie and say that you have more experience, they will expect to see these skills in you and will know that you haven't done it and will not trust you. Honesty goes far.

NEVER LIE on a resume. I would wait until you do get more experience. I know that is not what you want to hear but the agent will most likely not sign you if you do not have a reasonable amount of previous experience. Take classes. Be a part of community productions. Be in student films. Be in school productions. Just focus on getting a lot of experience (can take awhile. be patient. (by awhile I mean 2-4 years)) and then apply for an agent. Thats my opinion and its backed by casting directors from noteable theaters such as the 5th Avenue Theater in Seattle.
If you feel you must apply now, buy a book called "Breaking into Acting for Dummies" It is very informative on headshots, resumes, cover letters, ect and will help. (If you dont know what these are, my guess is your not ready yet not to sound harsh)
Also, are there agents in your area? Have you decided whether you want to do theater, commericials, TV, or movies? Are you acting to be famous or because you love it more than anything else in the world? Make sure you are doing this for the right reasons.
Hope this Helps!!

First of all, you never lie. They can always find out and then where will you be? Blacklisted from that theatre and anywhere else that director will work! Starting out with lies is not good. Just be honest. If you've been in a couple of plays like you said, then you start with that.

If you start at local theatres, you don't even need a resume. You don't even need pictures, usually you just fill out a form at the audition and if you have nothing to put then oh well. Wow them with your natural ability and you'll get in, right? What they want to see at the audition is of course your talent, but they also want to see if your someone they can work with. Are you nice or obnoxious? Are you a wallflower or are you lively? Think about it...

Just go in with a good attitude and be happy! Good energy breeds more good energy and they'll want to keep you around. If you don't get a part and you have no other prospects ask if you can work crew or help take tickets or something (just so you can hang around, get to know people and how things work at that theatre). It could be a good insight for you to see what you could do better next time. Also, theatres can be very political in nature. You may not get a part simply because they don't know you. That's just the way it goes sometimes, so get to know them!

Good luck!

That's okay if you don't have a lot on your resume. Think of all the times you've "performed" - plays, etc. and add that all in! Don't worry about how long it is.

When you're starting out another thing that agents look at is training and education. Enroll yourself in an acting school - and add that to your resume under "Training".

In the meantime, audition for as many plays and student films that you can so that you can build your resume as well as experience.

Also, get yourself a decent headshot!

I wish you the best with your endeavors.
