I know that you hear about people wanting to be an actor or actress. Or to be a model. Sometimes they just say it as grins, but im not. Acting is my dream, my passion. I want to get my name out there and known. I live in Colorado and need an acting agent. Google search hasnt helped me any. None at all. I need anything i can find! please help.

The most amazing thing about John Robert Powers is that he is not in jail. Biggest rip off artist in the history of show business. And listen to NewYorkgal. This is not a profession you enter because you want to get famous. It doesn't work that way. If you're serious about it then start where taking lessons where you are. You can't act for a living unless you are very good at it. You get good at it by taking classes and doing it as much as you can. If you still want it when your old enough to make your own decisions you'll have a head start.

Agents aren't in a need to put themselves out there. If they want you they'll contact you. The best thing to do is get a copy of the Ross Reports, which is a listing of legit agents and casting agents. Write a nice cover letter and mail them your headshot and resume, it's the most professional thing you can do. DO NOT call them or email. I work at a casting office and there's nothing that annoys them more then when an actor who mailed them something calls to talk about it, if they want you for something, they'll call you.
also, don't be so desperate. do some work yourself and get some expierience under your belt, you don't need an agent to go to an audition so go to some on your own and get some street cred for yourself, once you have a decent resume built up by doing that agents may take a longer look and be more interested.

If you want to "get your name out there and be known." You are doing it for the the wrong reason.
Talent Agents and Casting Directors want to work with actors that do not want to "get their name out there or be known."
You are not finding Talent Agents, because, there may not be any legitimtate Modeling Agencies in your city in Colorado.
The acting industry is located in New York City and Los Angeles.
When you are older move to one of those cities.

Maybe you can try John Robert Powers it is amazing! You take classes for a month just to see what you are best at. Then they send you to auditions. I got to agents fromm them
