hey i love to write song and all my friends say that i'm super good at it. And that say im good at actings i really wan to be on the disney channel or nick or something can someone help me please!!!!!!!!! thanks alot

Hi!

It does happen that people get 'discovered'. How often does it happen? To answer that question. Here's another one. What are the chances of winning the lottery?

Getting discovered is like hitting the luck of the draw, so to speak.

On the other hand there is a saying I really like, which says:

"The more prepared I am, the more luck I seem to have."

That said, if you want to really be discovered, you have to position yourself to be discovered. You have to work hard to build a base.
What does it mean to build a base?

1. Get to know yourself better, your strengths, weaknesses, the opportunities you have, the resources you have at your disposal (and not just financial, but intellectual, skills, capabilities, talents, etc.)
2. Develop your creativity to invent ways for you to position yourself ahead of your competition and to find new ways to promote yourself.
3. Figure out what you want out of your life. (specifically) Figure out what you want in your career (specifically)
4. Put together a solid plan that will ensure that you will get to where you want to go and have a real chance at achieving the success you want.
5. Figure out what it is that motivates you and learn how to keep yourself motivated to get done the things you need to get done and to help you deal with the rejection that you will inevitably encounter in this business. Figure out how to develop a strong sense of perseverence if you don't already have it.
6. Find out what the business skills you need to run your business of being an actor. You are an actor. You are a company. And you are a business. You are the CEO of that business. You have a product and that product is you. You have to know how to market it, how to sell it and how to create value for those who 'invest' in you.

There are short cuts, but very often, if you skip one of those steps, in the long run, unless you are lucky, it will slow you down and it just might mean that you won't reach your goal at all.

So what are the next steps?
1. Try to really understand what it means to be a working actor and start working on the things I mentioned above.
2. And in the meantime, start taking classes. Study. Study. Study. And develop your SKILL. Without it, you won't go very far. Your measuring stick isn't what your family and friends tell you, it's what your competiton shows you and what your qualified and bonafied teachers tell you.

Just wanted to give you some food for thought.

I assume you are a quite young judging by the channels you would like to appear on and by the grave grammer mistakes in the question. I am afraid reality television has gotten everyone's brain out of wack. You just can't write a song or act. It is hard work like anything else, coupled with disappointments and rejections. You have to be tough and bounce back easily or you will get eaten alive. Good luck.
