I went to John Robert Powers because I really thought that I had a chance to start my acting career.... my parents had paid like $2800... and i feel SO horrible!! they don't deserve this. i finished like 2 months ago and now nothing... they gave me a sheet of these agencies and they seem fake. I don't even know what to do anymore..... i don't have a headshot or anything, what's a good way to get into this business without getting ripped off again? does anyone do commericals or anything, how'd you get into the business? thanks!

I have a normal size, black and white headshot. The thing is... I forgot to have my name printed on the front! I have an audition tomorow.

Should I:

a.) Leave the headshot the way it is. (Nameless.)

OR

b.) Sharpie it in- writing super neat!

So I'm currently in acting classes. I'm getting my headshots done soon and I want to put together a portfolio but the thing is I'm new to all of this so I have no idea exactly what I need to put in it, I know I need a resume, but I'm not exactly sure how to make one or anything.
I'd prefer answers from those who've had acting experience and have auditioned for agents, please help!

Couple of questions about an acting headshot:

1. It's supposed to be in black and white, correct?
2. What size? (Is 8 by 11 right?)
3. Is the photo supposed to be big, or is it a tiny photo printed on a bigger paper?
4. Is your name supposed to be printed at the bottom?
5. If you're name is not is that bad?
6. What happens, when you staple your resume to the back, if the photo is bigger than the resume paper? Do you trim it down, or something?
7. Is it okay if the picture is kind of pixle-y?

Which is to say : wiill this union affliation improve my access to auditions and probability of being hired , or does it not make (much of) a difference? Is it a plus overall , or not?
It depends on an individual's skills , etc. , of course, but besides that......?

ok so i have 3 careers in mind: at first I wanted to be a teacher then i was thinking about it the other day and since im a good drawer and i really enjoy drawing final fantasy character i thought maybe i could get a job in animation, and then i was thinking about voice acting. I mean i really think that voice acting would be a really fun industry to be in. I know since im 13 i have lots of time to decide but still i would really like to know a bit about these 3 jobs: like how well do they pay? and ihow fun are they? and how easy or hard it is to get that job? Please help!

How do they keep from audiences seeing the same actors twice with the amount of shows they do? They must hire actors locally because I doubt they could afford to have so many people travel with the show.
