Basically, my question speaks for itself. I really want to be in a theatre performing. I mean, I love the thrill of the dancers etc, and I sing when I'm by myself, but I'm too shy to audition.

I'm a student a John Robert Powers here in Memphis, TN. To try-out for auditions you have to have pictures done at JRP (over $1,000) on top of each class ($1,000 each). And you have to wait a month to get the pictures. I know you need to have their pictures to try-out at their auditions and they never bring different people in.

I'm good, I've been told by Disney's casting director herself. I never give up and try in all my classes. I do all the homework and memorize all the lines (both mine and the other persons).

I don't know what to do! After all the work I've done, I want to be noticed. BUT, JRP won't let me come to their auditions without their pictures. I know this isn't really a question, but I just need help.

And I want other casting directors to see me. I could easily make the headshots they make at JRP (they're crap!) I want to audition. And I'm not scared to call a director or company or send them pics or whatever I have to.

What do I do?? Help!!

I just got started with acting and auditions and all that, and after running out of cash for postage, I started going online. I saw this site called seemyreels.com, and I want to upload my reel to it. The problem is, I haven't acted professionally in anything, and I have no idea of what to say. I'm pretty versatile, and so I'm wondering how I could get this across in an original way. Any help?

I am moving to LA in August and would like a decent apartment in a decent neighborhood. I look at all the web listings and found a few. Where are the neighborhoods I should avoid? I am looking for $500-$700 per month, I know that cuts my options......any suggestions? SIZE DOESN'T MATTER! Are there any neighborhoods that are saturated with actors so I might network easier?

see, i love to write. it's been my dream to have a book published with my grandmother's painting as the cover forever. I have one poem and a short science-fiction story published already, but i'll never stop writing.
the plays about this girl named Raven who is a princess in a poor kingdom, who is neighbors with a rich kingdom. Raven doesn't agree with her fathers methods, and thinks that if she could just rule in her father's place, the kingdom would be so much better.
The father sells Raven's happiness to the neighboring king, who's son doesn't want to mary Raven. If they DID marry, the two kingdom's would come together. but those two HATE eachother. Raven runs away, and meets a boy from the neighboring kingdom. they fall in love, but they can't be together because of her father.
what should i do now? I'm thinking that Raven and the prince from the other town should work together to get out of the marrage. Help!!!"This is copywrited" so please don't steal it! i really need help!!

I recently ordered Arsenic and Old Lace, great play. I have a few more favorites which include A Mid Summernights Dream and The Crucible. One of my all time favorites is Fiddler on the Roof. Does anyone have any other recommendations as far as plays or screenplays?

Hi guys, basically, im an actor and I am struggling to get roles in films, I thought that increasing awarness of myself as an actor wouild help increase the chances of oppotunities and networking. I already have a website and imdb profle, so in terms of internet awareness I am doing ok. I was wondering if any of you had experience in self promotion, or hiring a publicist? Would a publicist even be worth while and do they actually increase awarness for actors that have no 'Hollywood' roles? Or possibly approaching concierge companies and buying tickets for premieres and events for networking? That way possibly gaining recognition from other people in the industry and or attention from the press? Likely or not?

I dont know how to save the title page to the actual script. I know I have to somehow do it through the Title Page Publisher, but I'm not sure how. I can save a title page seperately but not with the actual script. This is a problem if I want to send out a script via email. Can anyone help?

I love acting but there are not many opportunities available in my country. IIf circumstances permit,i might wanna move to another country. Where do i start? My parents dont take me seriously when i tell them that i would love to make it big in the acting world. I know it isnt easy...should i join an acting school?

I really want a monologue but I want it to be either lovey dovey ditzy or really tragic, I am auditioning for peter pan and they just want a one to five minute monologue that shows your acting talent and how well you remember long lines, lol. I want ditzy to match my song, or lovey dovey to be all dramatic and tragic so I can show that I can change from ditzy to tragic or vise versa, I am singing popular from wicked.
