I really want a monologue but I want it to be either lovey dovey ditzy or really tragic, I am auditioning for peter pan and they just want a one to five minute monologue that shows your acting talent and how well you remember long lines, lol. I want ditzy to match my song, or lovey dovey to be all dramatic and tragic so I can show that I can change from ditzy to tragic or vise versa, I am singing popular from wicked.

...hmmmm, I'm not certain why you are going for "ditzy" to "tragic" for Peter Pan...."Popular" may be good, but it is pretty well known by theater geeks - you probably won't be the only one singing it - so if you do sing it, it better be THE best. You may want to try singing something different to stand out (Can't Say No from Oklahom./Cockeyed Optimist from S.Pacific) .....Monologues....well, for Peter Pan, why don't you try Puck's last speach from Midsummer Nights Dream? Save-a-leg; break-a nail :)

Try and get a monologue that best matches the kind of part you are auditioning for. If possible get a scence from the script and shows the emotion of the character and the ability to memorise and act out the part.

Don't chose a piece that is irrelevant to the part you want to play. For instance if you want to play Peter Pan, dont chose a Monologue of a Drug Addict. Rather get someting that would ralte itself to the Character of Peter Pan.

Good Luck...Break a Leg

I'm not sure if this will be relevant, but I always love to hear Lady Macbeth's "unsex me" monologue. Love it.

It really all depends on what part you are auditioning for...

I'm not even sure if you are male or female.
