It is for a production my daughter is in, the director needs "trees" that can be carried on stage by kids(9 years old) that are playing the munchkins and that they can hide behind once they have carried them on stage.

i have never had this problem before. give me a character, and i will not only portray them, but become them...but i'm three days away from drama competition, and somehow i'm just not clicking with my character--an english model in a humorous monologue. I love the monologue, but for some reason i'm not "feeling it"! And it's too late to back out now...any tips? Fast? on how to relate to my character and become her?

I recently auditioned for a show, and I didn't get a part. I have never not been cast in a show i auditioned for. I know that sounds like i'm bragging, but i'm just wondering if anyone else has felt this same disappointment. And how you got over it quicker.

What do you think for the costume of Bet in Oliver....skin colored hose, white hose, or black hose? Opaque or sheer? Fishnet? It's community theater - costume person says "wear whatever" - I want to wear what looks right! Dress is gray (like the gray on computer toolbars) with tiny burgundy and pink flowers and shoes are black lace up jazz boots. There may or may not be a dark purple shawl added to the costume. What type of hose did the london underground type use back then?

Last year, my school started the spring play. The whole purpose of the play is to bring meaning and cultural awareness to the people in the audience. Last year, our drama department did "The Laramie Project" concerning the issues of hate crimes and homosexuality. Another criteria that we want to meet is that the show has to be ensemble based. (we don't want any definite leads and we don't mind giving multiple roles to one actor) This year, we are a little stumped for ideas. So far we have only come up with one play - "The Arabian Nights" which shows the other side of Baghdad through stories performed by the actors. Does anyone have any suggestions for plays that fit this criteria? Your advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
