As an actress it is essential that you realize that you are not kissing your friend as yourself, but rather the character that you are playing. Whether it is your first kiss or not is irrelevant because you are not acting on your own emotions. Don't worry about it, chances are he feels the same way too. The fact that you are friends will make it less awkward and seem more comfortable. If you want, ask him to practice with you beforehand to find out what works well. Good luck with the show... Pippin is amazing!

Hmmm...this one's tricky. I think that, before you get to that scene in rehearsals, you should have a little chat with the director, and perhaps he/she can schedule some time for just the three of you to work. The director can tell you specifically what it is they want the kiss you look like, and then you and your scene partner will have the guidance you need. It'll make the whole process more "business-like," and probably a little less stressful for you.
Good luck.

Is he a really good friend?
Do you like him?
1st of all, it's theatre. I wouldn't worry too much. Talk to your director if you feel comfortable talking to him/her. Ask if you can stage the kiss. (i.e. cupping your hands around his face, and placing your thumbs on his lips- or him doing that) you don't have to tell him anything if you don't want to. Just relax!

Just go for it, put your lips to his and try not to bump noses. You'll do fine! After you've practiced it a time or two it will be a piece of cake.

If it's an issue for you, you don't have to do it for real, you can just fake it (it is acting after all). Talk to your director about your thoughts on it, they will probably be understanding to you.

an actress trick is to secretly put her hand over his cheek and kiss your hand. but you have to do that discreetly, and you have to use your hand that is facing away from the audience. however, it would look better if your comfortable with just kissing him.
