hypothetically, if Juliet had never met Romeo she might have grown to love and care for Paris. He is at least very infatuated with Juliet and his plan to visit her tomb daily shows ongoing devotion.

The prince blames the families more than himself for the tragedy.

"And I for winking at your discords too
Have lost a brace of kinsmen: all are punish'd."

this says he should have done more to stop the feud between the families but still implies it is mostly their fault.



The families show intolerance and hatred more than immaturity. Romeo and Juliet have a love that is considered mature by the standards of the day. They are young and rash but are not otherwise immature.
