Have you tried dressing the way she would dress and then going out for a day like that? I've done this with a few characters and it's really helped. Go to a restaurant and order like she would, go to a clothing store and look at clothing like she would, eat like she would, shower like she would......I find this especially helpful when I just can't seem to get in and since you're on the line, I'd give it a try. I'd also go by myself so that you can focus and not have to deal with distractions from others. Break a Leg!
Wow, we all said the same thing, I didn't even realize it.
Another thing you could try while doing this exercise is take the monologue to extremes. Play it really angry, really silly, play it like she's a redneck and not a model, just go WAY over the top a few times and you will probably find a settling point. Monologues can feel a little monotonous over time so just break the ice with it and practice it like you would never perform it. Pretend you're an ape and not a model....anyhow, best to you. I've been there, believe me. If you need to flesh out what you think you're not getting then feel free to email me through my profile.

Stop trying.
Go through your monologue again, and try putting the character's thoughts into a 3rd person narrative. "She felt this, she thought that." I have found this enormously helpful, since it serves to bring out the natural story telling qualities of the performer. Doing it in a first person manner (ie "I felt this, I thought that") tends to lock the actor into his own emotions and takes way your awarenes of the scene you are in. Remember, that a monologue is a scene.
As well go through it deciding what it is your character is trying to do to (or what is it she wants from) whomever she is speaking to. for instance, what do you want them to say after you have finished speaking. Put the character's desire into physical verbs, "crush, carress, beat, sooth" and the stronger and more specific the verbs the better.
Acting is not about becoming a character, it is about portraying a character for an audience, whether that audience is a thousand people or a camera. Don't act, behave.

You have to like her. You have to become her. Go to another town if possible and act out your character as you meet people. You are not acting, you are being yourself- a humorous English model. ;) If you feel stupid doing this, you will not do well at your competition. Be your character, believe in your character. Try reading an English novel to get the accent and speaking style to seep into your mind- an Agatha Christie, Pride and Prejudice even.

Try "being" your character at a local mall or large department store. Spend the day shopping and interacting as your character... Come home and STAY in character until after the drama competition...
Watch old Benny Hill shows or rent a "Mr. Bean" video at Blockbuster. They will "Lighten you up" a little and give you a taste for English humor on a hilarious scale!!
Good luck!

Yes, fast is probably the answer. Most models are a size 0 or smaller and probably eat one pea a week unless they're dieting.
Think thin!

Have yourself pampered. Do a "photo shoot" with friends. Have your hair styled, legs waxed put on some hot pumps. You need to feel like a model. think posture. shoulders back, head up. chin level. learn how to sit. learn how to walk. Hope it helps.
