Theater & Acting - November 2006

In a couple of weeks i will be doing a drama production. Can anyone help me with the birmingham accent. Any words.

I would love to go to Drama School but really can't afford it. I am looking into doing summer courses or short weekend courses in things like musical theatre and stage combat, just so that I have some sort of training. Will this in any way compensate for not having got a degree?

I would love to hear your stories! Mine happened many years ago when I was the voice of Frosty the Snowman in a mall display. I had to hide- crunched up in a little house - and watch as the children who came to talk to Frosty. I had a microphone - and controls for his head, arms, eyes and mouth. BUT - Frosty's head was stuck in a weird position and only one eye blinked. Plus - the kids could see me back in the little house. It was horrible! What was your experience?

My mom insists that there's song called "Wedding Song" from a play (I think. Maybe it's a movie) called "The Lark" .... does anyone know what she's talking about and where I can get the song at? She said the song has both Chinese and English verses. Any help you can give would be appreciated ... Thanks!

( im 12 ) and in my school we have tryouts for the school musical. and they dont relle go by sound i think. but stage performance. and when i get up there. i dont go to my fullest. like what i parcitce at home. and the funnything is . im a cheerleader. and on my squad they call me "Showtime" cuz i have the best stage performance. how can i fix this
