I would love to hear your stories! Mine happened many years ago when I was the voice of Frosty the Snowman in a mall display. I had to hide- crunched up in a little house - and watch as the children who came to talk to Frosty. I had a microphone - and controls for his head, arms, eyes and mouth. BUT - Frosty's head was stuck in a weird position and only one eye blinked. Plus - the kids could see me back in the little house. It was horrible! What was your experience?

I played Johnny Landrum in a touring company of "Donner" (the story of the Donner Party). Johnny Landrum was the first of the wagon train to die...and it happened about 30 minutes into the first act.

I had to lie dead on stage for the rest of Act I and ALL of Act II.

Hardest money I ever made.

i became in a unmarried play contained in the theater district of huge apple. fairly some the forged were performing professionally for a minimum of 25 years. you would make sure that each and every thing would run easily. although: a million) One actress entered the degree 3 pages early (it truly is 6 minutes of performing). She finally realized this and walked off the degree. 2) The lead and that i have been onstage even as he whispered to me that he had no idea the position contained in the script he became. I proceeded to provide both instruments of strains (adjusting his so as that it would appear as if they were mine) till he recovered. 3) We did no longer have sound in the time of rehearsals. For starting evening, the sound human being were given lost and neglected the first act. no one informed us that he had ultimately arrived so we performed the play as although the sound consequences were there. That carry about the incident the position a personality responded the phone and then it rang. 4) The heroine became carried over the breaking point of a motel room. it really is high quality. although, even as a woman is carried, she is to save her legs closed by locking her ankles. Her legs were spread huge which meant that I had to re-block my position to guard the view. starting evening and closing evening were one and a similar.

Several years ago, I was cast in a national touring company of these "Reader's Digest" versions of "The Taming of the Shrew" and "Julius Caesar."

The texts were horribly adapted, the show was abysmally directed, and I can't say much for my fellow cast members, either. Suffice it to say that this two-month event seemed to go on for about 20 years...!

But, the WORST thing about the experience was being up on stage in front of a bunch of High School kids all across the U.S., and KNOWING that this early exposure to Shakespeare was destined to sour many of them on his plays for the rest of their lives. Man, THAT was a terrible burden to bear.

In college, I was the page in "Antigone". I wore black tights, a black skirt, and a black turtleneck. My line was to tell the time (once!) in a monotone and, if I remember correctly, to announce the king in a sing-song voice (once!). It wasn't a big part, and I tended to break out into giggles. My part in the next play was a flower. I realized it was time to hang up my acting career and then ended up doing the makeup for all the plays.

I'm half Asian. I was hired to play a "mob girl" in a dinner theater spoof of The Sopranos in downtown San Diego. Did I mention I'm half Asian? Need I say more?

I was Leggett Frazier in "George Washington Slept Here" back in high school. My big line (my only line) was, "Uncle Stanley has been sitting on it all morning!" when someone asked for the newspaper. Hollywood, here I come!
