There are commercial classes down there.

The basic thing is to get a list of agents from Samuel French and then start narrowing it down to the ones who might represent you. (For example, you probably don't need to submit to agents who just do kids.)

Once you have narrowed it down, start mailing your headshot and resume out with a SHORT cover letter to about 10 at a time. ALWAYS call them first to see if they are accepting submissions. When you call, ask who you are submitting to and get the correct spelling of their name. Put this at the top of your cover letter. Call back about a week after you have submitted and just make sure that they got your stuff.

Don't try to push them to set up an interview or anything like that. If no one bites, move on to the next ten. If you go through your whole list and don't get any response you might want to examine your headshots and resume.

Again, I reccomend taking a comercial class. (Check out June Chandler). They can really give you more details on what the industry is looking for right now, and can give you a real edge on the enormous amount of competition down there. Good luck!

seems such as you're merely seeking to be familiar. in case you have in no way acted until eventually now, you will bypass to an agent and be laughed at. no longer common. Very, very no longer common. in case you're severe approximately appearing, merely wait. Take theatre training, do point exhibits, etc. yet do no longer think of that merely for the reason which you're enormously or choose to be familiar or what no longer which you will bypass to an agent and bam they sign you and its all solid. It does no longer take place like that. have confidence me. I even have been appearing for the reason that i exchange into 10 and did no longer get signed with an agent until eventually i exchange into sixteen. yet what particularly pisses me off is which you asked if all of us understand of any brokers of the disney channel stars. That impressive there tells me, and absolutely everyone else who's severe approximately appearing and HAS completed IT until eventually now AND ISNT seeking to alter into wealthy AND familiar that all and sundry you decide directly to do is exchange into familiar and be the subsequent Miley, Demi, Selena, etc. So, if it particularly is all you decide on, and it is not because of the fact of your pastime for appearing, then merely stop impressive there. Like I suggested, an agent will giggle on your face. Very, very no longer common.

Goodness... you'd think that subject would have been covered in one of your undergraduate courses...

You need to submit your package to agents all over L.A.
The same package you'd submit in Atlanta... Chicago... or New York... And you need to start knocking on a lot of doors.
