You go to an agency and usually you have to audition, have a portfolio, resume...etc. NEVER go through an agency which asks you for money upfront. That usually means it's a scam. Or you might want to try modeling/acting schools...some set you up with an agent while you are taking classes.

For acting, send them your resume and headshot. Depending on what state you are in, they should be a member of the union (unless it's a right to work state if i'm not mistaken) Never pay for representation up front. And an agent never gets more thatn 10%
