I am a huge fan of Stephen King books. I have to admit that a lot of them have left me with a "huh?" feeling at the end but never as much as The Mist did. Can anybody give me their take on this story? I would really love to hear what you think really happened in the story!

I already have a job and I don't want to have to go through the stress of being the lucky 1 out of 100 people that gets to get a book published while the rest spend too many misled years going to other publishers.

After I finish my book I just want other people to have access to it so I can share my work with others. Does the fact that I do not seek a profit increase my chances? What could I do to get my book out there without too much financial investment?

Thanks alot.

Did anyone else think of Bel Canto as one of the saddest reads ever. I read that book for english. i liked it a lot but it was a heartbreaker. All these people gather for a huge b-day party of a major business man at the vice prezidents house in south america somewhere. Terrorists come in and hold everyone hostage. Plot builds and soon enough terrorists and hostages become friends, brothers, sisters, and father-son, mainly because they are all so young. One of the long list of main characters is a translator of this business man who falls in love with one of the terrorists. They actually end up making love a few times. In the end, the govt. "saves" the hostages by killing all the terrorists including the translators lover. Their love was so unbelievably strong and it was sad when she got killed. Does it sound horribly tragic and tear jerking or am i just a soft dude?

Please Help! I'm starving for a good book(s), adult or teen!

like is there a political message to the story? I wondered this since the king of the apes is King Louis, like King Louis of France.

who would you pick and why? I ask because, well I've seen many questions about, who's your favorite and who'd you befriend. So naturally if they're so easy to imagine as real people, then there's no doubt there are some you'd like to punch, maybe because they're "evil" and you'd get a great feeling of righteousness, or because their behavior in a certain situation was annoying e.i Percy Weasley, or Vernon Dursley. The catch is it could only be one, and once or else they (the character) would be able to retaliate. :P

I really like mythology, thrillers, suspence, things such as vampires, witches, werewolves, dragons, etc. Names of authors or names of books would be really appreciated

My friend left the workplace early yesterday without telling me. Though this is a petty thing and I knew she would go early, but it upset me greatly that I wasnt informed. Should I tell this feeling to her? I love her so much! What do u suggest!

I am going to the library and a couple of bookstores today. I am a pretty avid reader so I am really looking a book that was surprising and fresh and did not pick up the critical buzz you think it deserves. I just finished the new Charles Stross book Halting State and Stolen Child by Keith Donohue. What are two or three really good science fiction or fantasy books published in the past two years that you think were overlooked?

He loves Red Dwarf and has read it over and over. Anything similar? He's 19. A high level of difficulty would probably not be a good choice. Thanks in advance for your help.

I want to write a fan letter to JK Rowling. I am a big fan of hers and I would like to praise and thank her personally, even though she may not read it ...

Can anyone give me an address to put on the envelope? Bloomsbury? Or her personal address?

Okay so I`ve seen plenty of villains and bad guys sitting alone in darkened rooms with only a bunch of candles around them as light. If you were to sit in a room like that with a dozen candles as your only light source for a few months, what kinda side affects would occur (to your eyes, any of your senses, maybe your personality)?
