I ordered the seventh book from half.com about a week ago, but it isn't here yet. I just finished the 6th about an hour ago. Even if there's a sight that just has the first part of the book....my hardcopy should be here any day now.

I am the author of a book which is a collection of my poems. It was publshed by Minerva Press Pvt Ltd, New Delhi India in 1999. I paid Rs. 45000 INR for it's publication. As per the agreement I was to receive the royalty. So many years have passed and I have not received a single penny of the royalty. Few years back I learnt that the press in India clased down it's office.

Now I learnt from some one that my book is being sold at Amazon.com and I dont know about it although I am the author of that book.

What recourse or justice can I get and what should I do? I need advice!!!

What do you all think of the news J.K. Rowling revealed last night about Dumbledore? (I won't ruin the surprise by saying what it is, but I imagine most people know by now.) I was surprised, but at the same time, not totally shocked. When I read the news, the first thing I thought is "imagine all the nasty fanfiction and wikipedia vandalism..." What are everyone else's thoughts on the subject?

I have no idea. 1. Because i've never read the US Editions and would like to, as i heard there is a little more in them.
But i do think the English ones are better by appearence. See, The UK editions are original, the font on the cover in just normal Font. But on the US ones, the font is from the film. NOT The original. And also, i think the UK editions are more intelligent as the writing is small and there are no pictures, they let your imagination run a little more wild. People who disagree with me, please debate, i really would like to know which one you think is better. As, as you know, i have never read the US Editions, and would like to.

I am a junior in high school and I don't read as much as i think i should. I enjoy reading Nicholas Sparks, but i know his books are not the ones i should be reading in order to prepare for college and the sats. Last year I was in honors lit and i read The Great Gatsby, Huck Finn, and Of Mice and Men. This year, I dropped my AP Language class because i had so many other AP classes, and i am not enforced to read books by my teacher in my regular lit class, so i would like to force myself to read some good books. I know the IB classes are reading The Scarlet Letter and books like that but im not sure if that would be on my "level". What are some suggestions of good books i should read?

He's turning 9 and loves to read. He's in 3rd grade but reads on a 6th grade level. He loves fantasy books like Deltora Quest, Harry Potter, and Magic Tree House. I'm looking for a book that would be a few hundred pages or so.

She told fans at New York's Carnegie Hall that Albus Dumbledore is actually gay and was "smitten" with his rival Gellert Grindelwald. Was she right to do this, given that the Harry Potter series is aimed at children?

The last book I read was 'The Lost Girls' by Laurie Fox. I'm currently reading 'The Devil Wears Prada' by Lauren Weisberger.

They're both excellent books! I highly recommend them.

J.K.Rowling announced when she was signing books. Recently I think! Somebody asked about Dumbledore's relationship and she just outright said that he used to like Grindelwald. He's gay!!!Big news, eh? There's gonna be LOTS of fanfiction about this! :)

I'm going to start writing a fantasy story involving elves, fairies, sprites, dwarves, trolls and humans......maybe even some vampires....I need lots of good, ethereal, other-worldly names, both male and female.....
My main character and protagonist is going to be a female elf....I'm not sure what other characters I'm going to have at this point, but I just need some names to base them off of.....I really stink at making up names....could anyone help me? Thanks so much!

Please let me know what does the poet means by '' Came to hazard" in the below text:

" My mother came to hazard when I was just seven
even then the folks in town said with prejudiced eyes
that boy's not right"

this is an old song of Richard Max!
