~Actually, I'd rather have dinner with Captain Ahab. Vendetta driven men with angst are always fascinating.

I'd invite Captain Nemo over for dinner. He'd be an excellent conversationalist with perfect manners. No doubt he would pull out my chair for me, wait to sit until I was seated, and bring up nothing that I might deem offensive. He would also bring a wealth of knowledge and culture to the "table."
Now, if you asked to whose ship I would rather go to have dinner, the answer would be Captain Kirk. You could never be absolutely sure what Captain Nemo would do when once back in his own domain.

Of the two captains, I'd prefer to have an evening's company with Captain Nemo, commander of the Nautilus. Cultured, well-mannered, appreciative of a good dinner, and a good cigar (seaweed manufacture), his conversation and his philosophy would make for a stimulating evening. After dinner, I'd invite him to try out my keyboard, perhaps a step up electronically from the organ aboard his submarine. Then perhaps I'd put Blue Planet dvds on the tv, and show him how our explorations of the seas have progressed!
