Interesting question. I actually have no idea because I have not counted my books. Maybe I will soon!

I have 2 book cases that are completely full of books. My guess is that I have around 250-300 books.
I just finished alphabetizing our DVD collection which includes over 300 DVD's.
I collect penguins (stuffed, glass, wooden, anything penguin), I guess I have around 50.
I also collect rubber bouncy balls and marbles. I have no idea how many I have (my collection is at my dad's house). I keep them in an old Kleenex box and it's jammed full.
I have a foreign currency colletion (also at my dad's).

I also have several small collections of various subjects. I get on a kick, for a while, and then something else comes along. I'm going to have a very cluttered house when I get older.

Very big!
And it could be far larger and more numerous if it weren't for the fact that I keep giving away those books I won't read again.
It's a very eclectic collection.
You can see everything from science to bestselling contemporary novels.
I spend way too much on books and magazines.
Well, not speding...more like investing!
And then the CD collection is not far behind.
Lots of music.
And quite a few selected DVDs (this collection may not be as big but it is getting bigger little by little, I'm very picky when it comes to buying them)

I have all of Agatha Christie, all of Kurt Vonnegut, all of Stephen King, all of Diana Gabaldon, all of Janet Evanovitch, most of Anne Rice and lots of other authors that I like but too many to mention. If I like a book, I reread it many times and they become like old friends and I just can't throw them out - I also collect Beatles memorabilia and current stuff and I have one whole room for that, then I collect Kindereggs toys, and small ceramic shoes. I don't want to move because I don't know how I will pack everything up. My TBR pile of books is higher than I am. There is just not enough hours in the day for everything that I want to do and want to read.

I have three large bookshelves full to the brim with books. Almost every shelf has a front row and back row of books, as well as books lying down flat on top of the two rows (I think I need more bookcases). : )

My collection of DvD's and CD's is quite large as well. I also collect shot glasses from every state I've visited.

I had to sell or give away the 80,000 books I had. We were running out of room. I still have my coin collection of over 1,000 coins and raw silver and raw gold, that I will probably never sell, but give them to one of my grand nephews when I move on.

We have 10 bookcases in our house and they are full to the brim and double stacked. We have thousands of books.

I also have a Beatles collection that needs its own room.

HUGE! I love books and have WAAAAY too many (well, in the opinion of other people). In fact, there are so many, I could probably line the walls of a room in my house with them.
I have lots of my favorite reading books, but I also love finding great reference books, too....atlases, books on history, geography, science, nature, photography...you name it...if it is in book form, I would most likely want it.
;-)

ALL of my book collection burned up in my house fire, this year.
ALL of my DVD's, Video's, and music collection burned up in my house fire, this year.
But, you know, that was just STUFF!
My only Sister died, in that house fire.
I have started to replace the things I lost, but I can NEVER replace my Sister.
I will rebuild my library.
