A good friend of mine asked me to be the "photographer" at her brother's wedding. When she got married, she was on a really low budget, and I offered to "take pictures" at her wedding (more just for fun on my part). She said her brother liked the pictures and said he was willing to pay me. I don't mind doing it because I really just love taking the pictures, and getting paid would be a bonus. The thing is, I by no means would call myself a professional. Please look at some pictures on my flickr site and tell me what you think I should charge??? I have no clue what I should charge. Oh, and I do have a Canon dslr camera now. The pictures on the link were taken for my own amusement with other cameras that I have. Thanks for any advice you can offer!

J.K.Rowling announced when she was signing books. Recently I think! Somebody asked about Dumbledore's relationship and she just outright said that he used to like Grindelwald. He's gay!!!Big news, eh? There's gonna be LOTS of fanfiction about this! :)

Hi. I would like to know what your insights and/or reflections are about the book. It's a great story but I find it a bit profound. Thanks!

Snow on Lenox

Beneath a breathe of eider & velvet,
visions & dreams disturbed

He whispers...
look outside my love,
A pleasant present just for you

It’s snowing on Lenox

A serenade of snowflakes
all for you to adore

At this moment angelic, but
Is the world standstill ….or…..was I dreaming?

This I ponder for days…..

Then,
There is a reminder
Of flickering flames and guitar, a melody for memory
Rosy cheeks of endearment say…..
Come outside with me love
It’s snowing on Lenox…

have you created a unique creature or animal in your mind? If so what does it look like? The more details the Better! you could even tell me where it would live if it were real.

ok this poem is written in an idea of a person who hates joy and people who spread them in this world are fakers.. pain and evil is the real deal because it is honest and straight to the point about pleasure with no consequences.. put this character in your head and see it in his point of view.

Two miles away,
the vile angels make me stay;
at their realm filled with con artist,
teach me the dread for death

In the world of dagger masks,
worn by the enemies dawn and dusk;
Blinded by a warmth that burns my dead wound,
yet silence crept in my soul till i saw the black moon;

It's shadow lights shone to soothe,
with no agony and pain I learned truth.

pleasure is a sin,
learn to hate;
dont force just grin,
and accept dark fate.

there are coats of arms for many families, and im sure some are a good example of what the original was. but i also know that alot of pseudo-genealogist will just make up the coats to make money.
how do we tell the difference, and what do the symbols represent?

what were our ancestors trying to say about the family when they chose the symbols?

for example do the stars of david, roses, harps, and the shofar on crests represent judaism?
do fish and ships represent seafaring families?
do lions represent english names?
does the fleur de lis represent a close french background?

how much can we trust them, and can the real ones really give us some insight to our family heritage?

make other animals and life forms do whatever we please?

Like, making animals work for us, keeping them as "pets" and eating them whenever we please? How about using fish as a decoration in a nightclub? Is that ok too? Putting wild animals in a circus or a vegas show? That ok?

How do you feel about this.

Every time I drive down Pacific Coast Highway at night, I look out over the ocean and see the lights from boats and what not, and I would love to take a picture, but I know since its so dark it wouldn't come out very good. How would I go about making it look decent?

I'm going to start writing a fantasy story involving elves, fairies, sprites, dwarves, trolls and humans......maybe even some vampires....I need lots of good, ethereal, other-worldly names, both male and female.....
My main character and protagonist is going to be a female elf....I'm not sure what other characters I'm going to have at this point, but I just need some names to base them off of.....I really stink at making up names....could anyone help me? Thanks so much!

Please let me know what does the poet means by '' Came to hazard" in the below text:

" My mother came to hazard when I was just seven
even then the folks in town said with prejudiced eyes
that boy's not right"

this is an old song of Richard Max!

I cannot remember the guy's name but I remember reading about a man from India who, with practially no formal education, recreated math and physics on his own in notebooks. Some English scientists discovered him and took him to Cambridge only to have him die in car accident a short time later. Does anyone know the guy's name????

REALITY CHECK
How do you know whan things are real?
How can you tell? Is it how it makes you feel?
What is the truth that lies deep within?
Lots of good people run anround and sin
Where is the brotherhood with its unspoken vow?
Where do I find comfort?I'd like to know now.
Who can you trust, when everyone lies?
What a mess we are in, why even try?
I stand all alone and look up to the sky
I yell up to nothing, to just tell me why
I ask and I ponder if He hears me up there
Please send me a sign and show me you care
Then the breeze blows across my sun reddened face
Now feelings of love,the saddness replaced
I get on my knees and thank creation and all it has been
Then head homeward bound, and start over again.

I am a huge fan of Stephen King books. I have to admit that a lot of them have left me with a "huh?" feeling at the end but never as much as The Mist did. Can anybody give me their take on this story? I would really love to hear what you think really happened in the story!
