Assuming that the personal morality theory is true, all law is an act of one person or a group of people imposing their ideas of morality on others.

The idea that one person's practice of their personal morality should not interfere with or harm others is itself a moral conclusion and disqualifies the argument that Morality is a matter of personal choice or preference.

Perhaps it is morally acceptable to me to rob my neighbors as long as I don't get caught (as is the practice in some Asian countries).

Maybe my moral code allows me to commit murder against someone who has dishonoured me (as is the case in many cultures).

Maybe I feel that it is morally responsible to lie and cheat to get the recognition I want even if it does mean that someone else is denied what they have earned.

What if my moral code allows me to beat up someone because I don't like how they look, where they live or their economic status.

I look upon the furthest star,
To see how close we truly are,
Our distance just miles and miles apart,
Or perhaps even oceans apart,
I think of ways of getting close to you,
So that I can see what you truly are,
You reflection full of perfection,
Or simple just a bright star,
I gaze and gaze at the lonely sky,
And see nothing but the lonely moon,
It’s world full of darkness,
As mines as well too,
The stars sparkle their brightness,
Giving accompany to the lonely moon,
I wish you were near not as far the furthest star that appears
So that I can show you my greatest fear,
Life without you my dear,
Being next to me...

In with Snape's memories is the scene with him and DD where Snape accuses DD of raising Harry "like a pig for slaughter". Then DD says "Have you grown to care for the boy, after all?" to which Snape replies "For him?", conjures his patronus (which moves DD to tears as it flies away). DD says "After all this time?" To which Snape replies "Always".
Is Snape affirming that he has always cared for Harry?! Or what?

I know what the phrase means..well, at least, i think i know. How do you measure it? For example, if I lost an important book..it means the world to me..and people say, "don't sweat the small stuff" to me..They don't understand how important..the item is to me..To them, it's a small stuff, but to me, it's not.

I guess..my question is..How do you know if a situation/thing is the small stuff?

I hope I am making some sense..

I have a game called Medieval Total War 2 and it has Italy split up into three kingdoms.

They are Slicly, Venetians, and Milans... Is this historical?

I mean was there really nations called by these names and did they really fight each other?

Both Martin luther King and Malcolm X were great men who spoke of freedom and justice- yet while Martin luther King is heralded as a great hero (which he was), the equally great Malcolm X is often ignored by historians. Why???

Christianity says we never come back but I have heard many cases of young children remembering their past lives. Their stories then were verified. I have to go with the evidence. What do you think?

We could see a talking chair, and it's okay. Nothing's strange in dreams. It's kind of like when you read a story with talking objects and you're like 'well they can't really talk' and someone says 'but it's a story' How does that make sense in dreams? Why do we accept everything so readily?

The unthankful heart discovers no mercies, but let the thankful heart sweep through the day, and as the magnet finds the iron, so will it find, in every hours, some heavenly blessings.
Why is it not possible for the unthankful heart to find the blessings?

Is it the spices they eat? Is it something in their genes? Their is the Fish Odor Syndrome that I saw on the Tyra Banks show. If some of them have that that is sad. My italian friend had that. She tried to commit suicide because it was ruining her life. Horrible Smell. I have never come across someone middle eastern who smelled bad. And I have many middle eastern friends. But why do people say this? It's not true. Because all of you know that people from all different races can smell bad. It could be an illness, bacteria infection, religious ways, types of food that they consume, ... I mean humans don't want to be told that they smell like shitt and become outcastes. There most be an underlying problem!!! People can be very clean yet smell bad because of a condition.

I have to prepare a 2-5 min monologue and prepare to cold read from the script. I have to get into the part I give, use my emotions, etc.
I haven't done this before so I'm completely clueless!! It has to have the style of a 1920's woman since that's the part I'm auditioning for.

Have you ever written something and then read it back to yourself - and, although you know what your talking about its like the words are all blank canvas's with no meaning? Thats what happened here, I wrote it, got it down on paper and then went to edit and hit a blank...

I have only ever written one or two non rhyming poems before, ever, I find it SO SO DIFFICULT to write when things dont flow and rhyme together smoothly.

Anyways, I am having a mental blank here, I cant for the life of me figure out how to make this poem better - the non rhyming thing has THROWN ME COMPLETELY.

Any tips? (first timer - be nice!)

Just The Dreamer

I’ll always be right here for you
Beside you, to care for you.

To love you - to hold you,
What else can I do?

But close my eyes and see your face
You can’t see you’re beautiful

When you’re burning so brightly
The light shining from you is blinding.

Just close my eyes and dream a little dream -
Dream a little dream of you
