Turn off the computer and the t.v. and the Ipod, and whatever other electronic gear you might be using. That's what is eroding your brain. As for your soul rotting, you need to go to church and have a talk with the Lord. That ought to help that bleeding existence problem too. If not, read a newspaper, one that has a lot of international news. Once you see what's going on in Iraq and Darfur, etc. you'll realize how lucky you are to be here and how small your problems are in comparison to other people. You've got it good, buddy! Don't go moping around when you've got 3 square meals a day and an internet connection. There's people out there with REAL problems.

Here's a poem I wrote. It seems like it fits the bill:

Standing on this earth with nothing
Barren souls sweep the sand
Searching for their lost hearts
The grains flow through my hand

We all are born
We all light a fire of hope
But it flickers and dies
As we hang from the ropes

I should live life with repect and poise
Life is a wing until we have fallen.
From my place I make my stand
I take this sand of souls forgotten

Here I'll break it down for you:

It is about all those people who don't have anyone. You know, the old man who seems to have no family or relatives. Just sits at his house all day. then one day he dies, and is forgotten. Or the solider who goes off to war and has no family. He dies and then what? They are the sand in the the desert of forgotten souls. That is the first two blocks. Then in the last one I am remembering those poeple. I care about them even though I don't know them. That is why I say I pick up the sand.

I want you to take a stand in your life and make a difference. Be the one to take charge and fix the world. Don't just sit back and watch it melt away. Be the change.

"My"... "my"... "my"... 'Ever you speak in the 'possessive' mood, ay?...

Of "my" brain, okay, understandable.

Of my soul -- well, you can only possess of yourself -- you 'are' the very soul you speak of, and that you say is rotting -- not possible in the least... 'soul is reflexive: you are equal to yourself, and are no more or less than yourself. You cannot place yourself outside of something you are so in the middle of.

Of my existence, to frame as such is as dreadful as the fore mentioned.

Who is doing the talking here? 'Not you, surely.

Is this not yours rather than not you?

You are heavily busy possessing all of these when you might best just want to be.

The best way to succeed at that is to begin giving in some way, and in a way that you truly like doing so.

Yours apparently -- I'm not for sure -- is because you are not outflowing and inflowing in balance. Either you have been giving or receiving too little 'to' or 'from' life. See?

Stop that stream of consciousness stuff. That's why your brain is eroding. Move to a drier climate to take care of the rot, and...I'm working on the last one. Be patient...oh, yeah. Don't let folks cut short your existence with their razor sharp tongues. Every unkind word takes a little more away. Peace, now let's go play outside.

This sounds to me like either good light
dramatic poetry, or bad dark-humored
philosophy.

If your brain is eroding you need some new
intellectual perspectives.

If your soul is rotting you need an improved
spiritual compass.

And if your existence is bleeding you need
some reconstructive surgery on your life.

You need a project. Something that depends on you for its existence. Try undoing some of the bad deeds that are rotting your soul. It takes 1,000 good deeds to make up for 1 bad one. So, it will be pretty difficult. Do this and it should kick-start your "happiness engine".

Yes. Learn to spell Advice.
Somehow I find it hard to take this question seriously. Have you been watching too much George Carlin? I have a hunch you already know that this view of life is just the product of a given perspective and that you also know there are other equally valid perspectives. Perspective is a choice we make in every moment. Yeah?

Seems like I have heard your statement before but i don't remember where. But if you are so disturbed by these thoughts I would recommend you go to a place of solitude and stay there till you find yourself. It may take allot of time but that's what you need to do. Find what is causing you to disconnect from your self and end it. wheather it be a feeling or a relationship. To clarify..solitude takes many forms. It may mean you go to the wilderness alone or it may mean you leave the place you live or it may mean you just disconnect from the problem till you can find it within yourself to deal with it. Don't let the problem rule you, Rule the problem!

Stop living for the sake of living. Stop living for yourself. Find a cause instead of sitting contemplating a wasting of brain, soul, and existence. If I'm wrong, at least you'll pass the time faster.
