I have to prepare a 2-5 min monologue and prepare to cold read from the script. I have to get into the part I give, use my emotions, etc.
I haven't done this before so I'm completely clueless!! It has to have the style of a 1920's woman since that's the part I'm auditioning for.
Any help? PLEASE?
I have to have it tonight.

If you are clueless, you are not ready to be in a movie. Guess what, women in the 20's were no different that today's women. So here is what you do. You read over the script so you know the words and hopefully the emotions in the scene. You just stand up bravely and speak the lines as though you mean what they say. If they give you direction and ask you to do it again, be sure you do not do it exactly as you did it before. Try to make the changes they want, but change something for sure. Try to relax and enjoy the situation. Walk in smiling and leave smiling. Break a leg.

first ask for a little time to practice because usally you don't have to ask they will give you time . if they do then do not try and memorise always keep your script with you. becaese if you think you know it you might forget. hold your paper under your chin so they can see you.do not smile while you read it will throw you of. have as much energy as posible because from the time you walk in they are already grading you.also if you don't have an agent yet it is good to start looking in to it try abraham artist, osbrink talent , inovative artist , and stewert talent, and simmos and scott.

i might defiantly prepare a monologue. Have one that maximum suitable fits the action picture and the character you auditioning for. despite in case you do not finally end up performing your monologue, you nonetheless are arranged. :)

you should take a deep breath, dont panic and just read.
if you've looked at the script already, i guess you should read how you think the script should be read.

Imagination, Creation... all these will help you get into the character. If you don't have any bit of these abilities, you will act like a puppet. So you don't need a puppeteer, do you?
