Christianity says we never come back but I have heard many cases of young children remembering their past lives. Their stories then were verified. I have to go with the evidence. What do you think?

Emerald - Could you share that scientific proof with me? How would it disprove those children who can recount details of their past lives that are then verified?

There are two recent stories in Britain where one young child remembered his life as a WW2 fighter pilot and another where a child remembered his life with another family. Both had extremely detailed recollections and these details were later verified.

CuriousG - I think it is real. It looks like I won't be changing anyone's mind on this one.

Future Posthuman - If you ask a neurologist to point to the "mind" he can't. I have not yet seen definitive proof that the brain is the mind. There is only proof the brain has a degree of control over aspects of bodily function and memory. We do not have definitive proof what controls the brain. As of right now, the brain is still defined as just another organ.

Nathan W. - I do believe in a collective unconsious that appears to offer inspiration and direction, but not specifics. Reincarnation or some kind of past life experience transfer seems to fit here because of the specific details offered by the children.

Yes for certain. The actual New Testament spoken by Jesus (Yesuah) himself taught Karma, reincarnation, and no one goes to hell eternally. In 324 AD King Constantine and his click of scribes had the original Bibles burned and made their own version of it. It was easy to do back then because only the higher ups in the government and church had copies, and women couldn't read. The original followers of Jesus called the Essenes had to go into hiding because they where being killed off by the government due to their following and teaching the teachings of Jesus. They took the original NT with them called The Gospel of the Nazirenes. They hid it in a Buddhist temple, knowing Constantine wouldn't find it there. It is available with historical documentation of its authenticity. I have found Truth and peace with the original teachings of Jesus you can too. Please if you are a sincere seeker of truth this will give you so much peace to know the truth. google gospelofthenazirenes.com Following the original teachings of Jesus will set you free. (It makes total sense)

I don't see how their "recollections" could be verified unless there was some way that they could have already known about the facts through natural means. I'd sure like to see some of this "evidence." As for their "recollections" being quite detailed, well, you should see some of the fiction I wrote as a teen. The mind of a kid is a fountain of creativity.

While I don't believe in reincarnation, it has nothing to do with xtianity. Who says xtianity is the "right" religion?

Recollections of past lives are also, well, not really possible. We know for a fact that memories are stored _physically_ in our brains as a pattern of connections between neurons. Within just a few minutes after death, the structure of our brains degrades from lack of oxygen, and everything stored there--our memories, personality, experiences, etc.--is destroyed. It doesn't "go" anywhere, it's simply destroyed. We know how the brain works well enough to know this for a fact. It is, quite literally, impossible for memories to survive beyond death. *WE KNOW THIS.*

Also, how does reincarnation explain that the number of people is growing over time? If souls can be created new, why recycle old ones? It makes no sense without the addition of a large number of very speculative "what if's".

There Are Some And It Is Always Weird To See Them. They Sometimes Even Have Special Powers. It Doesn't Make Sense In The Human Mind Or In Any Scientific Way But God Does Have The Power.

There are some big questions about reincarnation that never seem to be addressed. First, since we've never experienced life without ourselves existing, reincarnation seems almost too easy of a way of saying "don't worry, you'll never to experience (not experience) that." Second, to address your point, isn't equally possible that we all were that fighter pilot that the boy remembers but he's the only one that said it to someone who'd repeat it.... maybe our souls work in a way unthinkable to us, maybe I was 1000 people all at once, and my soul will split again to feed many more just as my atoms will feed many different creatures. Third (and my personal belief), maybe there is a large pool of human experiences out there that we all feed unconsciously from and some people (often artists and great rulers) seem to be able to pull from this pool much more and at greater easy. Maybe these children can easily tap into this pool of humanity and see and feel things at a more vivid level than most of us.

To me, the conclusion of reincarnation because some one remembers the past is as logical as a person who has never seen a cow presuming that its shaped like hamburger patties.. it's makes sense if you just look at the surface, but nothing is like what it just looks like on the surface.

Yes.

Unless you believe that this is your first try with life.

We are made of energy. Energy can never be destroyed but instead transforms into another form.

Note: The mind is not the brain. Every cell of your body has its own mind.

Well if you go with the "evidence", then you don't believe in either heaven or reincarnation, since there is no evidence for either. Only belief. Personally, I think we just rot in the soil.

There are two types of questions we can ask: those that ask the unknown, and those that ask the unknowable. Bottom line: some things are impossible for us to KNOW. We have no way to gather or guage the information.

One religion has no say so in any other.

Reincarnation along with any other religion is myth.

The stories are not verified, that would be impossible.

There is no evidence, that is why it is called 'faith'. 'Faith' is based on a belief or beliefs not based in evidence, fact or truth.

Don't be a troll.
