To love is the greatest act
To lose it is the greatest loss
To live is the greatest gift
To live well will surely cost

Love will drive you in sane
Love will take away pain
It will torture you
Again and again
Especially if its in vain

Love has no prejudice
It doesn’t pick or choose
Anyone can play the game
As long as your willing to lose

Its sad how something so lovely
Can become so utterly dark
The lack of love is frightening
It will surely break your heart.

I really want to start going to acting auditions, but what steps should I take? I currently attend acting class every Saturday, and I've done one play. Do you think that enough to go on audition. I plan on auditioning for students film and local theater first. My resume has nothing except for the play, and I don't have headshots. Can we audition for these things using snapshots and a weak resume?

Here is my first shot

Shining lines
Of tears falling down
Your perfect face
And in such simple words
An apology
My words
Trampling yours
It never was your fault
And so I will
Say my hardest goodbye
Your body shudders
Sobbing
And upon my lips you bestow
The softest kiss
My eyes close
Your footsteps fade
I find myself alone
My task is clear
My greatest desire
To set you free
Accomplished by
The sweetest farewell
My eyes sweep down
Those twenty stories
Over the railing
Hanging by
A hand
Now the release
Goodbye Kitty
I always loved you
I always will
Goodbye my Kitty
Goodbye my love

but I had several people tell me the ending was poor, so here is my second attempt starting from 'A hand'

A hand
Now the release
Goodbye baby
I always loved you
I always will
Goodbye my love
Farewell

Which is better? Or if you have a better idea let me know. Thanks.

If a volcano erupts near a village... The volcano is blamed for the destruction... Yes, the valcano destroyed the village, but man put the village there in the first place! If the village was not placed there in the first place the village's destruction would have never occured and the eruption would be labeled as beauty... I am here to make the claim that choas is caused by man, for the sole reason that we have feelings, and we have the decision to make the righteos path... Your thought on the matter?

Looking out beyond the haze
Hope
Light
My heart is young again
My dreams blaze before me
As I chase them down the highway
Accelerating for the first time in years
A smile that is real not forced
Because my heart is free
No more bonds
No more chains
Wild and free
Happy again
I am thriving through a loss
That I didn’t know was good for me
What I once thought I couldn’t live without
Has now finally set me free

I'm a voice performance major at a two-year college. I will be expected to give a sophomore recital next year. I'm working on getting some repertoire worked on now, but...what do I wear? Do I go formal? Semi-formal? Or what?

Thanks.

A girl who never fits in
A lonely girl who always sins
An unwanted tear falls from her eye
As again, her conscience decides to lie
She wishes she could turn back on the path she's on
She knows on it, she doesn't belong
She longs to be on the path of right and true
That she hopelessly pursues...
At night she crawls to the corner of her bed
And her knees support her head
She cried to her lonesome self
Knowing that she is beyond help
Now understanding she can't go back
So trust rated, her tears start to lack
The blood drips openly from her wound
Hoping to seal her fateful doom
Now she can see her reflection in the pool
And now she's so happy in a world so cruel
No one's going to miss her, so why should she care?
She's going to a world that is fair.
plunging down and down into death
She struggles to breathe and gasps her last breath
The next morning, her parents find her on her bed
Finally realizing their daughter was dead.
Her skin deathly pale,
And she looked oh so frail
Her skin was clammy and her body dripped in cold sweat
Her parents washed over with regret
The minister said she could've been saved
With the attention that she had craved
So now that girl lies six feet down
Underneath the cold, hard ground.

In the darkness of night
The waves of the ocean carry you away
The moon shines above and you gently sway
Out in the open you choose not to hide
Instead, you look to the sky
In the stars you confide

Ode To Poe

Dark, decrepit, dreary damned night
Fills my bowels with stones of fright
My eyes shift from the left to the right
While shadows dance in the pale moonlight

No human should walk the earth at this hour
Per chance to meet some unearthly power
I watch, I listen, I dodge, I cower
While heart burns, stomach churns, and mouth tastes sour

The cold wind howls with evil glee
Anticipating my destiny
I know some spectre waits for me
To rend, to end mortality

I watch it standing up ahead
With fingers of bone and eyes of red
Beckoning me to join the dead
I change my path, with feet of lead

I begin to tremble and I can swear
If only in mind, there's something here
And I die in waiting, there's death in fear
Damned night be gone, glorious dawn appear

I understand that some of the United States' "founding fathers" were born out of wedlock, which was a big scandal at the time. I'm looking for inspiration--people who overcame rootlessness and made a difference.
