try auditioning for a play at your school or look into community theatre. i would at least take a theatre appreciation class or maybe a film appreciation class. even if it doesn't get you acting, it will allow you to study something you at least have some interest in. i took theatre apprec, and i LOVED it. as far as the whole secret thing, what have you got to hide?

as for a monologue, try one of the vagina monologues, or check out this link: http://www.whysanity.net/monos/female.html it's got links to a lot of different ones.

I say get involved in whatever you can. If your school has a theatre department, become a part of it. You will love being amongst people with the same passion :-) It will bring out a lot in you. You can also try local theatres in your home town or near your school. Many theatres have classes and workshops in addition to productions. Check out backstage.com and do a casting search for your area.

As for the monologues, if you specifically want them to be from film try imsdb.om. There are tons film scripts there, but finding the monologue will be up to you. If you know what film & character, then you'll be off to a great start.

Good luck!

Why are you keeping it a secret? Is it something dirty? lol. If you really want a good monologue look through some plays, people don't like hearing movie monologues because they will compare it to whoever performed it in the movie. Go get some plays and books on acting, they will help you get started.

See if your college has a drama club, and get into it! I like acting, too.

By the way, I know secrets are fun, but I don't think you really need to keep this secret. If it's what you love, then maybe you should let people know.

:-) Good luck!

Take a class. Do some community theater. Make some home movies just doing little skits. Do whatever you want, acting is fun!

Try out for a play; take a class. Don't be shy. I know an exercise for beginning actors. It might help you build confidence. When you meet someone, be friendly, shake their hand, and when they ask you your name, say, very matter of factly, "My name is ____. I'm an actor." Don't make a big deal out of it; the idea is to get comfortable thinking that way. What have you got to lose?

Join the Drama Department at college. Once you are in the Drama Department, someone will tell you where to find monologues.
