Mirage
Christina Rossetti

The hope I dreamed of was a dream,
Was but a dream; and now I wake
Exceeding comfortless, and worn, and old,
For a dream’s sake.

I hang my harp upon a tree,
A weeping willow in a lake;
I hang my silenced harp there, wrung and snapt
For a dream’s sake.

Lie still, lie still, my breaking heart;
My silent heart, lie still and break:
Life, and the world, and mine own self, are changed
For a dream’s sake.

My pics of my cat always show glowing or red eyes - even if she is not looking into the camera. I have tried no flash, red eye reduction, 3 different cameras, etc. and nothing seems to work for me. Any suggestions?

I am latino. But i found out that one of my grandmother was red haired. So if she had red hair that means shes irish also. But she was puerto rican. If shes irish puertorican. that means shes Irish/native american. because she looked kind of asian like alittle, but with red hair and hazel eyes with very white skin. My dad was born blond and very white skin but he turned tanned and his blonde hair turned black when he got older. and all my grandparents were very light skinned. in fact most of my aunts and uncles look european. One of my grandfather who i know nothing about though. I had a picture of him. My mom told me that he used to travel the world andwhen she was little she was takin away from her dad( my grandfather) and she never saw him again. But i saw his picture and he looks very white also caucasian american like also. However i look almost nothing like my them why is this? I came out born very lightskinned and then i got tanner , but i always had straight soft

Ok I've been studying the Pictish invasions of Roman/Post Roamn Britain and I've come to a bit of a road block. Looking at a map, it would appear as though, throughout the period during which they are said to have occurred (400-500AD), there were other kingdoms, such as the Alt Clut region which was independently British and in no way I can see connected politically to the Romano-British. Also GALWYDDEL which was a "semi-pictish" kingdom that was cut off from pictland with the creation of Alt Clut. Then there were the Independent regions of North and South Rheged. Wouldn't these have acted as Buffer States Between the Picts who seem to be Isolated to the FAR north of the Island, and the Romano-Brits to the south? I'm sure there is more to it and maybe I'm just reading into it wrong. If anyone has a good explaination that could clear things up a bit I'd appreciate it. What I'm looking for is a somewhat detailed description of the often spoke of Pictish Invasions in the 5th Cent.

I took some wonderful photos on a holiday. However, I wanted to take as many photos as possible and so decided to leave the digital camera in VGA ( low resolution mode ). I like a photo that I'd like to make into an 8*10. Should I resend the photo back to the camera and then save the image as 5 megapixel. Will that solve my problem? Or should I develop the photo into a 4*6 and then scan the photo into a higher resolution? Or should I do like the clerk at the photography store said to save the image in TIFF format and she might be able to get that same resolution that I see on my computer monitor?
