God is every where and you can call on him any where and he will answer you maybe not right away but when he feels is the right time. You should included God in all you decision making because it is because of him that we do any thing and that we are even here. If you just call on him and ask him to help he will that is what he says in the bible knock and the door shall be open seek and ye shall find. Good luck and may god be with you.

In decision-making, you can simply observe the many forms of wisdom through books, common sense, and by listening intently.
You approach God by understanding what you observe and applying it to your life. Trust what you learn and it will take you a long way.
To find God, you meditate and look inside of yourself. Words and books only prep you for the journey.
The thing is, you have to be serious about it and focused which is hard for a lot of people. Even the most humble and saintly person in the world will probably not discover "The Secret" because they are looking in the wrong places. I probably will never discover it either. But all we can do is try and live right and have faith that we will find a way beyond "this place" and have true power over death.
I'm not a religious dude, so this is only what I believe. But I hope it can help get you on the path you're trying to find.

It's always a mistake to attempt to find God "out there somewhere". For the true believer, God is within, and therefore if the person truly has the presence of God within them, and has the mind of God as their mind, then any decision that they make is in keeping with God's will.

I find God in the silence. He has a small quiet voice there. I need to be very still and quiet though... thoughtless. Meditation is pretty good. Everyone has the ability to attune to their own "God Within" I don't make any important decisions without turning to this inner guidance first...

Read the Ten Commandments all your answers are there.
You approach him as a good, loving and understanding father. You explain the problem, explore the answers/ the possible out come of your decision. You will hear him (your conscious) if your heart and mind are in the right place.
You find him in your heart and head.

god does not enter into my decision making. I do not approach god in any fashion as i do not believe in god. i am not an athiest, however, i am more of an agnostic. Perhaps god exists, perhaps not. But I believe it is better to live as if there is no god, no eternal life waiting beyond this life.
I also do not believe, if god does exist, that god has a sex or gender... Hence I think it is odd to refer to god as "he"...
