I took some wonderful photos on a holiday. However, I wanted to take as many photos as possible and so decided to leave the digital camera in VGA ( low resolution mode ). I like a photo that I'd like to make into an 8*10. Should I resend the photo back to the camera and then save the image as 5 megapixel. Will that solve my problem? Or should I develop the photo into a 4*6 and then scan the photo into a higher resolution? Or should I do like the clerk at the photography store said to save the image in TIFF format and she might be able to get that same resolution that I see on my computer monitor?

Sorry, you are stuck with a low resolution image. There is no way to make it suitable for an 8x10 after the fact. Monitor resolution is not the same as print resolution. Memory cards are cheap. buy at least a couple extra and shoot on best quality from now on.
