Because it seems to me that people care a lot about finding someone to be with. It's the subject of songs and sitcoms and in there is always a love scene in a movie.

Is there anything else that's MORE important?

What do you think?

Try to forget what any "book" says or what you've been told to think according to a particular religious dogma.

Do you feel you have a destiny? If so, why do you feel that and what conclusions have you already made?

If anybody has an idea what this world lacks, I'll throw in the 10 points for the first person who gets the correct answer.

Do you people realize that he was a product of your own xenophobic society which breeds hatred and intolerence leading him to hate happiness over productivity and to hate those differ from your idiotic routine lifestyle ie. his references to John Mark Karrs and Debra Lafave- anything you cannot relate to you despise and look where it gets you, one of your own killing your own. The funny part is that he k'lled you, not me! You created a monster to eat me and he devoured you instead. good riddance to the entire human race. Thank you for offing yourselves

I am not by any means referring to god.

I am trying to say that since in the beginning there was nothing, and that since nothing comes from nothing and there must have been a first creation of "something," then did that something, or the seeds from that something come from outside our universe? Perhaps in another universe, or what-have-you, where perhaps the laws of science are completely different, and maybe you can build something out of nothing?

BTW - I am looking for scientific/philosophical answers not heavily religous answers, or answers that say "that isn't possible."

BTW - I'm looking for scientific and/or philosophical reasons, not religious reasons (i.e. God made it that way, so don't question it).

Lets assume that some day animals will be granted most basic rights that we now call "human rights", which probably will happen.

Still we could argue that humans NEED some amount of animal meat for consuming, so some animals would have to be killled as less cruelly as possible to be fet to people.

¿Why not raise people for the slaughter as well? It they have the same rights, it´s perfectly reasonable, as long as no cruelty is involved. ¿Why not eat people?
