What are the best sites that offer FREE e-books ? I found a few, but most of them have only old books, while i'm looking for the newest books. I'm especially interested in authors like Monica Ali, Ryu Murakami, KJ Bishop.

I'm putting together an anthology of poems for my creative writing class. The theme I've chosen is poems from movies; for instance, from the movie 10 Things I Hate About You I picked the poem Kate wrote for English class.

♥I need some suggestions on some poems I could use that were in movies ♥
(this does not mean song lyrics!!!)
I need at LEAST ten.
Thanks for your help!

I am taking 75 music students in grades 6-8 on a field trip. We have the option of seeing Seussical the Musical. Do you think they will enjoy it, or will it be "uncool?" I'd appreciate answers from somebody who has seen the show. Thanks!

Was listening to Queen's "Who wants to love forever" and got me thinking.

Surely, if we spread love then this will live on in our loved ones and a ripple effect will occur; the love we gave to them will be passed on and so on...and therefore we will live forever in the heart's of mankind?

It then striked me that this is similar to the hypothesis proposed by Dawkins that "memes" are radily spread through a population (well slightly a wee bit more complicated) and therfore could it be said that love is the greatest meme?

No, I can't say that I have either. But theN, I don't wonder about much. In fact, although there may be 1,000,000 things in life that a person can think about, I have only ever thought of 4 of them, and 2 of those were by mistake. Math is a funny thing. Ha ha.

I am looking for a way to organise all the information I have about relatives but would also look for more information about my ancestors. I have seen a few family tree maker software packages but would like opinions on which is best.
So far, I am leaning towards Family Tree Maker 2006 which comes with all sorts of records on disc.

I read quite a bit of fantasy and science fiction, and I'm looking for some recommendations. I used to work in a bookstore, so I've read the more commonly available or recommended titles, so please don't answer with popular stuff like The Lord of the Rings or The Wheel of Time series. I'm looking for stuff that I haven't already heard of.

I know we are dealing we huge "what ifs" here. I am just reading and learning the details of this period of history and it is endlessly fascinating.

Mary Queen of Scots non-relationship with James I (or VI depending on your time period), Jame's supposed homosexual leanings, the whole Guy Fawkes thing....

So, while hypothetical questions maybe have no place in history...I'm asking it anyway. Would England have reverted back to Catholism? Seems like many people were comfortable in their "new" faith.

Charles the first probably would never have been King? What do you think?

Thanks for any insights you can offer!

I have a Wacom Tablet and Photoshop Seven. I used to be able to make the pressure of the pen vary the width of the line, but when I switched computers it all went CAPUT. Is there a way I can set the pen to pressure sensitive again, or maybe a shortcut to make the brush bigger/smaller? Thanks a zillion!

The great tragedy of human history is that some people do things and other people don't do things. Much as you might loathe murderers, rapists, fraudsters and warmongers, you have to respect the fact that they did things. It is said that some of them may even have left the house, something many have never done. I rarely do anything, and I am not sure if this is positive or not. Working on the premise that the road to hell is paved with good intentions, I'm hoping that the road to heaven is paved with bad intentions. Even though my heart is filled with hatred and malice, I never actually do anything about it. This is good. On the other hand, I could definitely do more to help the poor and the needy, perhaps by encouraging them to express themselves through poetry.
