What are the factors that make one guitar easier to play than another? I play guitar and I've noticed that some guitars are just easier to play. The pick seems to glide through the strings more fluidly and it seems to make a nice sound without much effort on some guitars, but on others it is hard to strum and it just sounds bad. My guitar is like this. I have a Gibson Epiphone and it sounds bad and I have trouble strumming on it. When I play someone else's guitar or another guitar at a music store, I can play effortlessy. There are other guitars that sound bad and are hard to play, but it always seems like the one that I have is hard to play. Does it have to do with the strings? Does it have to do with how the strings are mounted? I was recently playing my roommate's Schecter guitar, and the strings felt so firm, yet it was easy to play and it sounded good. I took the strings off of mine and put them on his. So the same strings that were on my bad sounding guitar, sounded good on his.

I rather ask this in the philosophy section couse its more of a romantic thing than religus. I know its God above all else and i agree with that, i red some years ago "Paradise Lost" by Jonh Milton and in it it depics Adam's decition after he saw Eve and the bitten apple, of how he felt confuse and sad, in the book he decides not to betray God but rather to remain with Eve.
I dont think i could ever pass a chance to remain in paradise...but hey thats just me, doe i could understand how much he love Eve.
What do you think? What would you do if you were in his place? A love one for the loss of paradice, or be true to God?

my friends and especially my ex gf have always told me I could go somewhere with singing if I were to get a band together. For as long as theyve told me, especially the ex, I felt they were just saying it to be nice and not hurt my feelings because I love music so much. I told them to be honest and they would always say I'm great and should go for it. How do I know if they're telling me the truth or not? I cant exactly tell by listening to myself because I'm not so sure what I hear is what they hear. Ahhh please help.

Anyone have any helpful writing tips when writing a novel? Besides the regular, "write about what you know" and "put yourself into the character's heads", and "have a good, concrete outline, and be sure to edit and revise"...I know those are all true and are informative, helpful tips, but anyone have any other helpful tips other than those? Thanks so much,

Kiara

My grandparents found an ugly painting in their closet. It looks like it is of rice patties or something it has palm trees in it. They think some guy from Georgia did it like forever ago. It looks like it is signed AMIN in print. The last letter is kind of fuzzy but is definately AMI and we think an N I did find something about an artist named Ebrahim Amin but how do I know if this is his work? Thanks!!

my vocal range is of about 2 octaves. i want to extend it to hit higher notes and litterally shout them/belt them out. not scream but really tear out the vocals.

im trying to sing "say hello 2 heaven" by "temple of the dog" have a listen to it. i can do the verse no problem but when it gets to the chorus and it shifts up and the vocals get louder i loose it. my throat tightens and strains and i just cant hit it.

are there any ways to train my voice so that i can hit those notes?
and also any to make it louder?

cheers!

I am taking 75 music students in grades 6-8 on a field trip, and we have the option of seeing this show. I've never heard of it before - can someone tell me about it and if it is appropriate for middle school kids? I can tell from their website that is it about Elvis Presley, obviously.
