i hear stories of people having near death experiances, adn they tell stories of light, contentment happyness adn seing all the tins you love in life.

science tells me that this is due to your brain fiering of signals to all parts of your brain in panic.

therfore when we die we die.

should i feel sad that when im dead im dead knowing that science says in not going anywhere its all in my mind, or does it matter what science says because you know your going to think those thought before you die and you can believe our going to a better place?

i am doing my family tree and figured i would get started by viewing my grandmothers birth announcement in a newspaper. she lived in loudon TN in either alcoa, greenback or something like that. did they put announcemnets in papers in 1933? and how could i retrieve it froma newspaper from TN i live in alabama?

I always wondered if any Nazi idealogues ever said: "hey, maybe were not the master race after all." They would do stuff like kill all the horse traders who were Jewish, and then they could't get any horses. The curtains in the Berchtesgarten were made by a Jewish designer. They were irreplaceable because she was gassed. Then the ultimate defeat. I just wonder if anyone was on record as saying: " maybe we are not so bright after all."

We consider ourselves highly advanced but what if we are not it may be the case that in 1000 years people will look back at us as we currently look back at say cave men, with this in mind is it not possibe that our origins are actually very easy to understand(be it evolution or something else) but we are actually knowwhere near ready to discover them?

People say "You can find history in books, read it, but why study it academically?"
I'm a literature student but I used to love studying History; when people say the above, I find no answer! I mean yes we can find History in books, but why do we have to study it academically and at schools?

Because the smell and toxicity level of the regular products are too strong. Can it have the same effect? I have been using it to thin out acrylic but it is still opaque and not translucent?
