No, they usually want money. I tried paying with candied yams once, and they wouldn't take those either.

not really an answer, but a word of caution... be careful of any addresses that you are given to answer your question.
I'm sure you are not daft but as I am sure there are a lot of guys out there who would love to take your picture :) ...make sure its a proper address, research the names of people you are given and remember the number one rule never go alone... take someone as backup/support.
