I really want to get into acting. I'm pretty young and I was wondering if there is an age limit to how old you have to be. And any ideas on how I get started?

there is a tendency for sme people to find a sense of security in the past. In times of frustration or difficulty, or when faced with a new or unfamiliar ideas or methods, people may reflect the past. Thus, there is a wish to retain old and comfortable ways.

I HAVE met them at close of day
Coming with vivid faces
From counter or desk among grey
Eighteenth-century houses.
I have passed with a nod of the head
Or polite meaningless words,
Or have lingered awhile and said
Polite meaningless words,
And thought before I had done
Of a mocking tale or a gibe
To please a companion
Around the fire at the club,
Being certain that they and I
But lived where motley is worn:
All changed, changed utterly:
A terrible beauty is born.

That woman's days were spent
In ignorant good-will,
Her nights in argument
Until her voice grew shrill.
What voice more sweet than hers
When, young and beautiful,
She rode to harriers?
This man had kept a school
And rode our winged horse;
This other his helper and friend
Was coming into his force;
He might have won fame in the end,
So sensitive his nature seemed,
So daring and sweet his thought.
This other man I had dreamed
A drunken, vainglorious lout.
He had done most bitter wrong
To some who are near my heart,
Yet I number him in the song;
He, too, has resigned his part
In the casual comedy;
He, too, has been changed in his turn,
Transformed utterly:
A terrible beauty is born.

Hearts with one purpose alone
Through summer and winter seem
Enchanted to a stone
To trouble the living stream.
The horse that comes from the road.
The rider, the birds that range
From cloud to tumbling cloud,
Minute by minute they change;
A shadow of cloud on the stream
Changes minute by minute;
A horse-hoof slides on the brim,
And a horse plashes within it;
The long-legged moor-hens dive,
And hens to moor-cocks call;
Minute by minute they live:
The stone's in the midst of all.

Too long a sacrifice
Can make a stone of the heart.
O when may it suffice?
That is Heaven's part, our part
To murmur name upon name,
As a mother names her child
When sleep at last has come
On limbs that had run wild.
What is it but nightfall?
No, no, not night but death;
Was it needless death after all?
For England may keep faith
For all that is done and said.
We know their dream; enough
To know they dreamed and are dead;
And what if excess of love
Bewildered them till they died?
I write it out in a verse -
MacDonagh and MacBride
And Connolly and Pearse
Now and in time to be,
Wherever green is worn,
Are changed, changed utterly:
A terrible beauty is born.

Well, my friend wrote a teen novel called It's Magical (http://www.matmice.com/home/meimi/) and I would really like to see it made into a book. She's really talented at writing, and I hope someone can help me. She also has written a part two. Thank you for the help!

Sometime it's annoying to read and have to read some obscene words which are obviously unnecessary in the context, therefore I throw/sell/give such books away.

I also wonder if any Nobel Laureate had used four-letter words in his/her works before, please let me know some who did that. It's simply pointless and rude to their readership worldwide, in my opinion, such words should be very private and used to one's closest friends only but gerneral readers're not such authors' friends, I'm sorry. Please write anything decent, creative, readable and enjoyable to read to live in this chaotic world. It's like a genre of junk literary pieces they try to present to the public to read, for what? Something like emotional/sexual release?

Hello,those PhD candidates out there, this might be a thesis title you should ponder and do it, some bookworms and I will be definitely appreciated.

OK, this is random! Is Sartre's existence real to you? Is your existence real to you? only i can judge myself?- Depending on your interpretation of the testaments, this was written long before Sartre, just not so easy to follow.- Could there be a collective "I"? Dont explain "I", explain the existance of "I".

I'm 15 and trying out for my schools musical The Pajama Game. This is my first audition for anything and I'm super nervous. I've never had a vocal lesson, but I've been told that I have a good voice, and I'm hoping its good enough to get me into the chorus, at least. I sing Alto or Soprano.
Qs-
1. How do I support from my diaphragm, or how do I know I'm already doing this?
2.Any confidence-boosting ideas? I have low self-esteem and I need to keep myself optomistic for this.
3. Song ideas so far:

My New Philosophy(You're A Good Man Charlie Brown): A cute, quirky song but I'm afraid there's not enough singing for a one minute or 32 measure audition.

Take Me Or Leave Me(RENT): A huge risk I don't know if I should take. I can hit the pitches but I'll be nervous

Happily Ever After(Once Upon A Mattress): I love this sng, its a great range. but we did it last year(I was on tech crew)?

Any other song ideas?

Thanks so much!

I have a piano recital coming up really soon. I practiced a LOT for it, but I am still nervous. I had feelings that I might mess up badly, or even forget the song. It is a competition. Anyone have to tips to make me confident for this event?

I see it this way.

The past is only an abstract thought. It is only in your mind because it has already happened. It is intangible. It cannot be 'held' or 'changed'.
The future is also an abstract thought, it hasn't happened yet. It is only in your mind that it exists. It cannot be 'held', either.
The present is an infinitly small amount of fleeting time between the future and the past. Infinitly small - it really doesn't exist at all.
So is life a dream? Is it only in your head?

I submit that it is. Life is. Tao is.
