Money, fancy cars, jewels, etc. don't appear to be the best things in life to me. I would not think that wanting them is necessarily selfish as much as I would think wanting them as the "best things" is short sighted and superficial. A person who is motivated by these things over friendship, wisdom, knowledge, caring, ability to do good is cheating themselves of the real "best things".
Also, I could imagine that a selfish person might not care for money, fancy cars, jewels at all. They might want power, or fame, or control, or admiration, influence, respect, etc. instead.

Is wanting all the best or is it wanting all the most expensive blling lol please clarify as I think you mean well as we are princesss and should have the finer things in life but we need to come down a bit from time to time wanting, needing, affording and deserving all these things are questioned.
Who is gonna pay if it mom, dad, lover or spouse anyways its okay to want nothing wrong with that but if it means someones detriment to get you these things its wrong and its gold diggish always pondering but like a baby in a candy store we see we like they advertise so we want
If you make the money why not you worked hard and therefore deserve it as long as you do not become so self absorbed and you make apoint that every time you buy something you donate something feel good for a cause
Do you actually need to buy each time you get paid no we all can live on basic needs but what happens is we live in a society that says we are accepted for our sexi dress for that occassion we want to come across popular and appealing or how hard we seem with the bangin rides and extroverted rhymes and such materialistic views and for what we get bored with today history will revamp it self in a decade and we will call it style just upping the name its kool as long as you can account for it all and know you gave something back its the circle of things

Certainly not.....even Lord Rama and Lord Krishna too were living in luxurious types of environment inspite of their being named for the welfare of downtrodden. However, excessive of everything (like you mentioned money, fancy cars, jewels...) can be judged as selfish. From your picture, it seems you are a girl....presuming unmarried, but when the point of your marriage would come before your parents, they will certainly wish their daughter to have all the best thing in her life.....which cannot be labelled as "selfish".

No. It's how human beings are; we want the best things in life because when we used to be monkeys in the wild, having the best stuff was how we survived. The only way that would be selfish is if you somehow got your hands and 'that good stuff', and you weren't willing to share it with anyone.
Besides, having money is always ace!! $$$!

wanting luxuries is not exactly being selfish. but i believe that best things in life are free like air, water, greenery (nature). now, if you have to invest for "best" things how are they considered to be "the best"? money, cars and jewels cannot be termed best as a person can live and survive without them. they are called luxuries at the disposal of the people who have what it takes to get them. what a person cannot live without are definitely the best.

The best things in life can not be bought with money.
Love of material objects usually means self centeredness.
Listen to "The Good Stuff" by Kenny Chesney and you'll get a really good idea of what the good stuff really is.

Not at all, its called ambition. But when you end up obsessed by it and it takes over you can be left feeling sort of empty. The trick to life is keeping three things balanced in your life. 1. God 2. Family 3. Work

Those are not necessarily the best things in life. Those things do not make you selfish, but materialistic and shallow. That's what you should be asking!

Not neccessarily. Wanting these things at the expense of others makes you selfish though.
