What are the best sites that offer FREE e-books ? I found a few, but most of them have only old books, while i'm looking for the newest books. I'm especially interested in authors like Monica Ali, Ryu Murakami, KJ Bishop.

I think that the Baen free library is brilliant - though it is mostly science fiction & fantasy:

I've just found this site - which might have something that you like:
http://www.ebooknook.com/

And you might be lucky & find what you are looking for on this site:

The problem is that most of the new books are in copyright &, for some reason (snigger snigger) , the authors want to be paid if you read their work.

Wish they all thought like Baen - who have found that having the latest books, free on the site, has not affected sales of printed copies at all. I know that I have bought works by new authors (new to me) after trying them on the site.

First as a e-published author, I'm very happy that you read ebooks. I wish more people would. You aren't likely to find newly released ebooks for free, but they are very reasonable. Usually a search of the author's name will produce a site where they are offered.

The place you are looking for is called a library. Seriously, though, you can find cheap books at a used book store or book exchange.

Free e-Books are not going to be available for new books, it violates copyright laws. And I don' t know any authors that work for free.

Gutenburg is good because they are out of copyright.

I've never heard of the authors you mentioned, but here is a website that has lots of free fantasy and science fiction titles - http://www.baen.com/library

http://www.Gutenberg.org has almost anything and everything you can think of, but only titles that are no longer under copyright.
