I worked on a production of Seussical with a local youth theatre last summer, ages 12-18. All kids involved had a great time with the show. There is not only the novelty for older kids seeing old childhood book favorites come to life, but it truly is a fun fun show that will keep them moving and great music. There are also deeper messages that your more mature students will pick up on and possibly want to discuss later on. I say go for it.

Wow, yeah, 3 is difficult. I have ones that I don't necessarily like to listen to but have done the roles and found them very difficult. Evita would be a big example in that category.....other than that.. West Side Story, Assassins, Sweeney Todd (one of the greatest), Into the Woods, Grand Hotel, High Society, The King and I, My Fair Lady (awesome show and very difficult), Pippin (I love Ben Vereen's performance), 3 Guys Naked from the Waist Down, Kopit and Yeston's Phantom, Jesus Christ Superstar, Damn Yankees, La Cage Aux Faux, The Will Rogers Follies, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Les Mis (only the original cast), State Fair, The Music Man, Cabaret, Oklahoma, The Secret Garden, Tommy, Ragtime, 5 Guys named Moe, Carousel, 1776, A Little Night Music, Man of La Mancha, Guys and Dolls....I could just keep going......Thank for asking. Best to you.

This musical is one of the best musicals I have seen in a long time. When my alma mater did it last year the older kids we asked to look past the music and into the meaning... The entire play is a look on interracial(species) relationship, anti war protests, child abandonment, and many other topics not to mention the different music types are just amazing... The kids will enjoy it and will walk out singing it ...

I'm 17 and I still get a kick out of Dr. Seuss.
A lot of his poems really do speak to kids and adults though- like Oh the Places You Will Go!
I'd love it if I were their age.
I've never seen the show, but it sounds like a lot of fun.
