I'm a 6'6" attorney and I always feel inclined to do adventurous things that on the surface seem to have a serious risk of bodily injury (e.g. ice climbing, drag racing, etc.) but are not really that risky. Additionally, I love speculating and taking what people might call financial risks. Is that a turn off for women? or do they not care?

Central Michigan's Dan LeFevour finished the season with 27 passing touchdowns and 19 rushing, falling just short of joining Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow of Florida as the only players to have 20 of each in the same season.

Central Michigan won their conference championship and almost beat Purdue in their bowl game. Shouldn't LeFevour be considered a front-runner for the Heisman in 2008?
Why not?

I've seen some posters to Y!A openly trolling for babies, which sickens me on many levels. But I assumed that was the extent of the behavior. Recently, I was horrified to learn, in a private email from a young pregnant woman, that when she asked a question here that referenced her unexpected pregnancy, she received 12 private emails from strangers offering to take her baby without going through proper channels. She said she's heard from other women in the same situation that it's a common occurrence.

How widespread is this problem? Are pregnant women getting targeted for this sort of illegal and immoral behavior simply because they've posted questions and/or answers here?

A little old lady opens the door to a hoover salesman who says "would you like a demo?" "No, go away!" the old lady replies. "Hey dont be hasty, wait until youve seen what it can do" says the salesman. So he empties a bucket of horse poo all over the hallway carpet. "If it doesnt clear all that up, i'll eat the remainder myself" he says. The old lady says "Well, i hope youve got a good appetite, because the electric was cut off this morning!"

When you look at a bright light through a window (or lense), what causes that light to appear to give off a star-like glare?

I've been searching the internet for the answer, but I haven't found much because I am not quite sure what that phenomenon is called. And so far, all of the keywords I have tried using haven't provided much help.

The only thing I really know about it is that, in photography, if you take a picture of a bright light using a small aperture, you can capture this effect. However, I noticed that you can also observe this effect when looking at a bright light through a window (specifically a windshield).

I want to figure out how/why this happens because I am trying to work out an art project (involving glass panels) in which I may want to intentionally use this effect.

Any help would be appreciated. I think that perhaps microscopic imperfections in the glass may have something to do with it, but I am not sure.

Thanks!

Not every Pro golfer uses a Driver on every hole. Are long par 3's included ? Are these stats for driving distances misleading as they do not represent how far the pros actually hit the ball ?

Me and my friend are putting on a a play on new years eve for family and family-friends. We need an idea for a short play. Last year we did Cinderella and it was great, but this year we are stumped for ideas. It should be relatively short (under 30 mins). We are girls btw, but we are willing to play any gender, and the play can't have probably more than 5 characters. Also, my lil bro can play small parts if needed. THANK YOU !!!!!

The assumption that government has an inherent role in money & banking, (apart from setting standards, as they do with inches and feet, ounces and pounds, minutes and hours) is as preposterous as believing they have a place competing with any private business. In history when banking was most stable it was closest to pure laissez-faire operation. Whenever a nation was growing well, was creative, inventive, & productive you will find a banking system very close to free-enterprise competitive banking.

Benjamin Franklin made a visit to England in 1763 and while there he was asked to explain the prosperity of the colonies while on the other hand, England was suffering a bust, he replied: "That is simple. It is only because in the colonies we issue our own money. It is called 'Colonial Scrip' and it is issued in the proper proportions to the demands of trade & industry.
