Albert Pujols - He is a great player and seems to be a great guy. And, the first player in MLB history to hit 30 home runs and drive in over 100 run and bat over .300 in in each of his first seven seasons. Can't beat that!

All these people saying David Ortiz...that's just laughable. I'd love to see David Ortiz participate in a believable anti-drug commercial, like Jeter does...
Derek Jeter is definitely the poster boy for modern day baseball. He's everything a player should be and he's very marketable. He's in tons of commercials and endorses many products. I believe he has been on more video game covers than any other player and wherever there's an All-Star poster, Jeter is right in the center.

How about Jimmy Rollins. NL MVP this year, because he worked hard all year long, played in every game, and put up some amazing numbers. He's not flashy like a Barry Bonds or A-Rod, he just plays good ball. I think he embodies many of the great qualities about baseball.

OK I totally agree, it is Derek Jeter, as a lifelong Yankee fan I do admit I am biased though.

I think I am going with David Ortiz. I think everyone knows him and only for good reasons. I think Jeter was but, with the Red Sox being the Champions twice in 4 yrs, David Ortiz took his spot for now.

New Yorks Mets Right Side of the Infield, not only are they the MLB's future, they are raking in sponsorships left and WRIGHT haha, David is on the Cover of MLB 07 THE SHOW, and Jose is on the cover of MLB 2K8, they both have great commerical appeal. Others are Jeter, Papi, Miguel Cabrea, Jake Peavy, Johan Santana and Grady Sizemore and MAYBE Chase Utley

As much as I hate to admit it... it's gotta be Jeter... for so many reasons. He plays in biggest market. He's captian. Most popular player on the most polular team. He's got a million endorsements which gets him on TV - so everyone knows him, whether they're a baseball fan or not. He's a class-act. Oh, and I guess he's kinda good looking (grrr...).
Now - I wish I could have said Grady Sizemore... but I'd only be kidding me. It's Jeter heads and shoulders above the rest.

Gotta be David Wright, I mean he was "literally" the poster boy of MLB 07 the Show!
