As a parent, what are the legal rights in LIMITING/TERMINATING VISTATION RIGHTS by a STEP-Grandparent??

We have a case where the recently married maternal STEP-Grandparent is a MEDDLER, trying to negatively interfere in our family's life.

He is only related to us by Marriage, not Blood.

The Maternal Grandmother is ok, if neurotic and bearable. She submits to her new husband's domination, and expects us to do the same.

The Maternal Grandfather is perfectly fine, has a large supportive extended family, and is genuinely supportive of our family. He does not get along with the Step-Grandfather either, naturally.

Our issue is with the recently married Step-Grandfather, and how can we legally remove him from visiting/influencing our children?

We have no probs with the Grandmother visiting, just want her to do so with out her newly married husband, who is no blood relation to either family.

I've started being a vegetarian about a little more than a week ago and have only been eating seafood. But yesterday my best friend made a giant piece of ham for christmas and talked me into eating a large piece. So I woke up today and immediately felt really nauseous with a weird queasy stomache. Is not eating meat for a week then eating a large piece of ham causing my stomache ache or is it probably something else?

Thanks a lot. There's seriously nothing worse than feeling nauseous.

I have a young son ~ no scratch that ~ WE have a young son. When I need to do something without babe I have to confer with his pops and make sure he can "babysit" ~ or not.

I have heard his friends ~ fellow dads ~ call it babysitting when they watch their kids as well.

Every year at this time, I find myself sickened by the amount of materialism and greed the Christmas holiday seems to give rise to. As a single parent of 2, I can't help but wonder just how far from the true meaning of Christmas the whole "shop til' you drop" dogma is. I'm not even a true Christian, and it really ruins the holiday for me. What do you think? Is there any way we - as a society - can ever return the true meaning to Christmas? Or have the money changers and corporations got us all by the you-know-whats?

My boyfriend and I have a baby together, and I have twins from a previous marriage, and he has a son also. We are living with his parents, and he absolutely will make no sacrifices so that we can get a place of our own. He will not stop smoking or drinking beer. It costs a lot of money! If he were to make these sacrifices, money would still be tight, but we could make it out on our own. I tool the debit card from him, and he said "the first morning I don't have money you can pack your bags and get out". The card has my name on it. I wouldn't forget to do things for him if he treated me a little better. I never spend any money except for gas and diapers, and maybe a little baby tylenol. I never even have a full tank of gas. He says it's my fault we're in the negative, but this is impossible, because I never spend anything but 50 bucks or so. On my paystubs for my job next to federal tax withheld it says 0.00. Aren't they supposed to take that out? Would that hurt me when it comes to my Income tax?

I have difficulty in locating the most recent BEST ANSWER chosen, whenever I receive notice of it.
Occassionally, it will appear in the say top 5 of the listings board; but more often than not, I have to review all of them, before finally discovering which one is most current, and just posted.

Is their an activation process, in which the last posting will appear at the top of the board, and then all the others in sequence of reception?

Would appreciate any and all suggestions as to how I can solve this problem.

And please don't refer me to the Forum, or the judging panel; I've given up on both, long ago.

I recently moved my one silkie bantam into the computer room and I had an idea: go to youtube.com and play silkie bantam clucks and such. We're getting 2 more silkie bantams in Spring b/c they don't have them in the winter. Is it a good idea to keep playing these sounds? Or will she think that she was spoken to and then left after the video is over? What else can I do to keep her company until Spring?
