Have any of you gotten into buddhism?

I'm familiar that most forms of buddhism are atheistic, and I consider myself to be pretty spiritual.

Do you think buddhism would be a good path to try, or have any of you tried this path and found it to be a waste of time?

my boyfriend moved from NY to FL and has a valid driver's license in both. Around his birthday or the expiration date of his NY lisence, he gets something in the mail telling him to renew it, etc. But when I moved from NJ to FL and got my FL license, the DMV asked if I had a license in any other state and I had to give them my license from NJ. Before he sends in the form for his new NY license, I wanted to make sure it isn't a felony or something.

What is the flaw in that argument? and why would certain americans love for you to buy into that story? and what does it say about what value these americans put on freedom of speech, right to privacy, free press, and how do they likely feel about a government that is not really serving the will of its people but is rather dictating what they people do?

I think I do, and I've been criticised for it, even by girls! Basically, I think all females are special in their own way (i don't believe the same about guys), i very rarely get mad at a female, if i do it never sticks. And the only I reason I like being a guy is to be with girls. One day, I was talking to my friends about how dumb fat married guys get mad when they can't stick with their plans when their wives say "no". They always say stupid things like "she's trying to kill my dreams!". And I was like "Then WHY did you get married?? When you do, it's not all about YOU and your dreams anymore! You should've let her find someone who understands that!" and one of my friends, a girl, was like "okay, are you a GUY or a GIRL, because what your saying, I don't really know now..." I don't understand that, but I guess some people probably don't undersand me and my gender bias.

Are any of you like this? You kind of favour the opposite gender in all matters?

I recently started going to counselling and they want to do medication evaluation and that's the only thing I need pa rental permission for. I live with my cousin and she's 100% against medicating kids, although I am 16 and will be 17 in 3 months.
My mom has bipolar and is on medication and alot of people on my family have been on anti depressants so it's kind of a family thing.
They want to get me tested to see it i need anti depressants and sleep medication because it takes me 3 or 4 hours to go to sleep part of the time.
My cousin doesn't want me to have to go through them testing me for different medications to see what works at my age but isn't it kind of better to find out what medications work at my age so that then I don't have to go through that as an adult when I have more responsibilities to uphold and since depression occurs multiple times usually shouldn't I find out now what works for me.
what should i do? how can I get my cousin to say yes?

There's this girl (We are both 14) who I have known for a few years, and I know I could just walk up to her and start a conversation without her finding it weird, but thing is, I am very shy.

It's funny because I've known all her friends (Male and female, and most of them were very good friends..) for years, and THAT is what makes me too shy to just walk up to her and start a conversation.

Am I to suppose I am subconsciously ashamed of my past or something?

I am very understanding, have respect for women, don't treat them like dirt, and I have many other qualities that would make me a sweet, caring boyfriend, and from what I know of her, I do think I am her type, but my worse trait is my shyness, which is never on my side. It would be great if you could give me some tips on overcoming it.

By the way, talking to her doesn't make me nervous, but starting a conversation with her is hard for me.

Ok my bros getting into working out so I figured for christmas he can have an mp3. The only thing is that I already got him something pretty pricey but I still wanna get him one so he sticks with it. Anyways , for this reason Im looking for a cheap mp3, that still holds a decent amount of space (maybe a gig) , can be worn around the neck, puts out good sound, and maybe has a few little bells and whistles. Now a friend of mine recommended the player at the bottom of the screen, but I dont think it can be tied around the neck. So tell me if it can, and if it cant an mp3 player that can and fits the above criteria. Thanks for the help btw.

My bf and I have been dating for quite a while, and we are serious about marriage. We want to do it and are planning on it, but we aren't yet engaged. I was just wondering what could I possibly do to prepare even more for it?

We don't want to cohabitate first, because of personal reasons. Some other info is that we've been in a LDR since day one, since we met online 5 years ago.

Has anyone else had a similar situation? Maybe not the meeting online part, but just getting married in a long distance situation? we are wondering about where to have the wedding, where to live, etc. Thanks.

Please read this all before you say "stay in school". I'm 18, I've been with my girlfriend for 3 years. The first year was normal, and then she moved to Missouri (I'm in KY). We have been dating long distance since then, and see eachother about once a month. I am moving to Missouri after I graduate; if I graduate. I want to be a high school teacher. Currently my grades are a 37% and a 62% (I only have 2 classes because the rest of the day I'm working). I've had a 3.5 GPA the rest of high school. The main reasons I want to move are because I am suffering from anxiety and depression. This is because (1) my girlfriend is so far away, and (2) My father has puched me in the face and thrown me down on the ground until my brother and mother pull him off. He yells at me all the time saying I'll never be anything, I'm worthless, ugly, etc. All of this has happened multiple times, and I'm seeing a psychiatrist. Also, I have no friends at my school, but I do have 1 friend that lives here. My parents aren't going to help me with college, and because of my dad my grades are slipping away no matter how hard I try. Anyway, here's the deal: If I drop out I can move in with my girlfriends family for free. They will loan me money for a car which my parents wouldn't. Also, I wont be so alone. I wont have to deal with the abuse from my dad. I can get off my meds from the psychiatrist. I already have a job if I moved there. I'll get a GED. I'll go to a community college for 2 years, then transfer to a state University and finish getting a teaching degree. When I become a teacher I will be able to relate to kids, especially those dealing with abuse. I know people say dropping out its "stupid" but if I don't I will be stuck here, alone for the rest of this year, still dealing with the abuse. My grades will continue to slip and I may not graduate at all. Then I'll have to get a GED anyway. So, what are your oppinions on this?

I sent it today, this teacher quit on October, I thought he still
worked there but I called later to the school after I sent it and they said he no longer works there since October. Will they send it back to me or will they forward it to his home address even though he quit on October(2 months ago).
If he got fired on October (which I'm thinking he did but not sure), will they forward it to his personal address or will they send it back to my address ?

I'm referring to a small medical community college in a small town. Few students and teachers.
