I have a Compaq Presario SR1817CL Window XP sp2 Desktop PC, AMD Athlon 64, 3200+, 994MHz, with 2.43 GB Ram. and 1 PCI Express x16 slot, Max. output wattage:
300W. 200 GB HD. ATI Radeon Xpress 200 integrated graphic card.
I want to upgrade to a better graphic card. I found one. The NVIDIA
8500 GT 512MB PCIe by PNY. Sounds ok, but can anyone advise me on the best card that’ll work within the limited 300watt power supply? Or is this the one I should go with?
I tried my old Radeon X1300 with little improvement.

I bought a fishing rod for my dad for Christmas, but it along with others had a disclaimer for cancer in the state of California. (I live in Canada). I was concerned if it truly does and what in the materials causes the cancer risk? I know there are a lot of things that can give cancer. Even the other day the news said something about working the graveyard shifts could give it, which is laughable. Is this just some over hyped warning or something to really look at? It even has the same warning on the fishing rubber baits it comes with.

I'm interested in photography, and I'll admit that I'm a bit too embarrassed to be carrying those huge professional camera (I was aiming for the Canon EOS 350D or 400D) because of my age (Don't you think it's weird for a 14 year old to be carrying such cameras?)

Anyways, I was hoping if anyone could recommend any small digital camera (I prefer Sony; eg. of the size camera and my current camera model: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Sony/sony_dscw50.asp).
I want to take action photos (jumping in the air, etc.) so a Sony camera with quick shutter?

It's a bit off topic, but most people I know have a Canon, but what Sony camera model would you recommend (and I mean those huge professional kind)?

I have been on birth control for a year and only occasionally experienced breakthrough bleeding.
I started spotting a week ago (on my last week of 'active' pills).. I normally would have gotten my period today. This morning I was spotting a bit more than normal, but nothing more than a light bleed. Is it possible that I won't get my period because there's no more blood to be shed (sounds stupid, I know..) ??
I've taken two home pregnancy tests and they were both negative, but I'm not sure if it's too soon to tell..

She is a careful person with people, so she would like to believe her choice is correct. And she says, "I understand my partner wants to have sex with other girls and it is fine with me. He cannot have sex in the home we share and i trust him when he says he will not pursue any further relation with those girls than just sex." It will be noted that he does not want to hire prostetutes, but meet willing girls for his sex. It will also be noted that marriage/religious answers won't be helpful, so an analytical answer is preferred. The relationship is considered a serious one versus a fling. Answer in terms of right/wrong, what is right/wrong, what is "just sex", etc. And also, is this relationship possible in terms of happiness. Assume both sides speak truly.

In all seriousness, we hear so much about other nations, despotic so-called leaders, etc.
But
even knowing that we have probably the best or at least one of the best justice systems in the world, and given all of the categories which we define our crimes, are we not also a violent society?

“Colder Still ”

There once was a time when I felt joy
When comfort and peace were mine
And serene was my dwelling place
Then torment came with It’s cold, cold heart
To steal the warmth and take my peace
Leaving only It’s bitter killing frost
He left his mark without regard to me
Murdering the innocence that was mine
And longs to be still….

Trapped beneath this avalanche
Still unable to move
The harder I struggle to escape
The further down I sink
I see no foot-holds, no obvious way to rise above this
Though I desire a way out
