,Two things:
1 You will garner the disapproval from the ignorant among us' The question is, do we need to concern ourselves with the opinions of the ,(I am stupider than you are) segment of society?
2. We have traced the human genome and there is only ONE RACE alive on the planet. We are Homo Sapiens Sapiens and we have been the only version of our species for about the last 30 to 35,000 years.
There are what we call ethnic characteristics such as skin color, eye shape, hair types, size but these are, almost everyone, the results of geographical location and weather conditions.
In short, the blackest African and the whitest person from Iceland are members of the same race. I really wish people would read more.
So, worry not, sally forth and be happy!

YOU must make your own choices and enjoy the fact that God made all of the peoples of this Earth. Now, here's a surprize for you, take a stroll to the nearest main library, talk to the head librarian. Ask this question: Has all of mankind come from the Continent of Africa? The answer will be that all of the people on Earth came from Africa. Thus, we are all Black. Now across time, as man migrated to other areas of the Earth, the skin got lighter, whiter, the noses, eyes, ears and other appendages became smaller. This was to accommodate the "extreme temperatures" out here in the world. The fact remains, with all of the prejudice intact, we are all Black. The scientists have known this for a long time. They don't want to say this fact to the world. Many folk would indeed commit suicide, especially since they would discover that they are Black. I wish you well. What shall we then say to these things? If GOD be for us, WHO can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with BENEFITS, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Peace, Love and God Bless.

The fact that you would ask, implies that the people you hang out with will probably find something wrong with it.
And just for the record doesn't matter what background you come from someone will look down on you for the guy you eventually choose to love. Choose to ignore them and find others who will celebrate your choices.
But, that doesn't mean you have to ignore reality, if you're making a bad choice, (the person you have chosen is going to abuse you, would be an example of a bad choice) seek help.

Excuse me? I'm black. I cant believe you have to ask if dating a 'black' man will be hard to deal with. Some black men in the world AREN'T acting complete fools! If you love him then you shouldn't even consider thinking of this racist question. Sure people will look at you, but it's only because of ignorance. People have stereotyped black men and women as violent and foolish. Sure some are, but most aren't. We are smart and we are people. If you love him, don't think about questions like these.

There is always that chance! Keep in mind, when the African American culture gets together, the "brother" and "sister" thing becomes a strong community bond. And, when MLK day comes, there always seems to be this issue of how it was a "white dude" who killed him.
I would advise that you discuss the matter with him before you get any further into the relationship. He may have no problems with you being of another ethnicity, but that doesn't mean that his family and friends won't.

He is just a man, you will have the same problem any other man will give you, or not. You might have cultural differences, but shouldn't change things too much.
Better yet, he shouldn't date YOU...for asking a question like this.

Being in love doesn't make you question this scenario, because love between two people empowers you to overcome many challenges.
Roll with the punches, because your gunna find out hour true friends really fast. That is a blessing in disguise.
Dave Chappell, a controversial comedian put it this way, "I say certain racial things in my humor, my wife is Asian and we have children... So, I guess my d-i-c-k is a humanitarian."

Don't listen to these people.... it's not racist to have a personal preference. If you don't find a certain skin colour attractive, no one is forcing you to date them.
Statistically speaking, he is more likely to commit crime and be poor than a non-black person, at least worth taking into consideration.
