What are the signs that your oil pump is going out? What are signs of it being gone?

Lifter noise, oil pressure light on at idle, rod bearing noise, and a seized motor. Have the oil pressure light switch checked first, the switch is bad more often than an oil pump.

Has the oil pan been hit or a jack placed under it ?Seen lot of engines ruined due to the jack bending the bottom of the oil pan.
