I met a guy 6 months ago and I’m starting to have very strong feelings for him. I am the quiet type and he actually met me while I was studying in the library. We have been on several dates and I’m always at his apartment helping him clean, cook and just hanging out. When his father died (3 weeks ago) I was the girl he called to come over to his house so that he would have a shoulder to cry on. I do so much for him I can’t even begin to list them all. The problem is there are so many girls who like him. He has so many girls’ numbers to the point he has to have two cell phones. One for family and close friends (me), and the other for his 300 plus female friends. Whenever we go out, his (female friends) cell phone is constantly ringing. I can’t exactly get mad because we aren’t a couple, well not yet. He wants to start a relationship and he tells me I’m the only girl he “really” cares about, but how do I start a relationship with a guy who has sooo many female “friends”? Please help me out. What can I tell him?

should be able to fight someone to settle a dispute without getting locked up? after all it is human nature (or must we remove that one as well)

My only brother is getting married in a few months and I am trying to think of a good gift to get him. I am an unemployed college student so I don't have much money. I am hoping to find work soon and what I am thinking about giving him $1000 cash. Is cash too impersonal? My brother just bought a house and I think he is planning on taking a trip to Hawaii after the wedding so I am sure he could use the money. Also I am going to be best man at the wedding. We really don't know many people in this area so I doubt we will have much if any kind of a bachelor party (I really don't think he is expecting a party) so I want to make up for that with his gift. I am currently working on getting my pilots license so I would also like to take them on a trip some where maybe a few months after the wedding.

So is $1000 cash and a trip somewhere a good gift? Can anyone suggest a better gift?

thanks

We've all seen it a million times on YA..."I want a dog that never sheds, never barks, will like living in my closet-sized apartment, that I'll never have to clean up after, that will never get sick (because I don't have any money and I'm too lazy or stupid to take it to the vet), and poops rainbows and butterflies."

Honestly, what is the deal with this? Pets are luxuries, not necessities...if you don't have the time, money, and energy to deal with them, don't! There's no such thing as an "easy" dog, I have no idea where people are getting this idea!

I've missed the newsreports and have read very briefly about any of it, but can someone explain to me how it is that the US has come to that conclusion precisely now? Is it from some particular reports? And how come they didn't know this earlier, after all it was four years ago that they stopped. And the US had kept on insisting otherwise until two days ago.

This past weekend I suggested we visit my fiancé's sister who's living in another state. We decided to leave a day early because there was a snow storm coming and we had to drive home. The next day she sent my fiancé a scathing email accusing us of being too good for their hospitality. Even worse, she insinuated that I control him and that he has completely changed since we've been together! This came as a complete shock to me because it's totally untrue and I never realized until now that she hates me!

My fiancé and I are both totally hurt by her comments. Since the holidays are coming up, I'm going to have to face her in a couple of weeks and I don't know what to say. On top of that I asked her to be my bridesmaid for our upcoming wedding. Has anyone ever had a situation like this? I want to let her know that it's wrong of her to try to damage my relationship with my fiancé and his family, but I don't want to add fuel to her fire either. What should I do? Please help!

My sister in law has been living with and dating a guy for 5 years now. She has a child from another marriage and one with this guy. He is an alcoholic. For the past 5 years his drinking has steadily increased, also causing my sister in law to drink more than she should be. Over the past year things have really gone down hill. It reminds me of my life growing up. My step dad was a drunk too. Her bf has not been going to work, drinking more, becoming verbally abusive towards her and although she says it hasnt happened, I have heard of even some physical violence between them. Her oldest child is scared of her boyfriend. He has a lot of emotional problems, and behavior issues. I know the things that alcoholics do to maniuplate the ones they are with. The promising a change, the things will get better saying.. all of that. What i want is some true stories, if you are willing to share, some stories of how and why you finally had to leave the situation so I can show her some truths.

i asked a question on here yesterday and most people
said do go to the doctor, so i did ....
and they said my cervix is thinning, which is the step
before dialation.... of course...

ive already had preterm labor issues
w/ my pregnancy in the past
and i know if she's born now then she will live...

i was just wondering when i should expect labor
being this far effaced, and having past problems...
and how long any one else went after their cervix
started to thin out....

also- should my doctor have put me on bedrest?
my doctor is rude and i wanted to change,
but no one will take me now...
it doesn't seem like he cares to much...
so should i put myself on bedrest?

and also should i not have sex either?
will it cause problems??

thank you all in advance...

He ridiculed Marshareff about being President AND being in control of the military about a month ago...But isn't that exactly what HE is? With the passage of the "Patriot" act, Military Commissions Act of 2006, and the John Warner National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) of 2007, at a drop of a hat Bush could declare Marshall law for ANY reason.
