I want to get a nice tripod for my camera (Nikon D-50, likely will have my SB-600 attached).

I got the $20 walmart model years ago, and it's falling apart after what I say is minimal use. I want to upgrade to a nicer model, but I'm tripod-stupid and don't know what to look for.

Can you recommend a good model, or tell me what I should look for?

I'm white and I like this black guy and he likes me back but we aren't going out yet, we are just talking. But my friends who have dated black guys tell me that they cheat, they always like to have more than 1 woman, they can't express their feelings properly and they are really cold in relationships, even if they do love you. In seeking employment, 'cost accountant' continues to
come up when using keywords regarding my experience
and abilities. Would I be correct in assuming a cost accountant
would basically be a bean counter?

Figuring costs down to the penny highly interests me. Would

A couple of days ago while driving on a freeway in Atlanta, I saw a body of a man who was hit by a truck. I was wondering why traffic was moving slow slowly, then I noticed that there was a lot of rubber-necking. I realize that people often will slow down just to see what happened in the accident, but when I drove past to look too, there was the man dead as a doornail in a very unnatural position. The ambulance had just gotten there, so his body hadn't been covered up.

Anyway, so I can't get this very sad and disturbing image out of my head. I know it's only been a couple of days, but is there something I can do to forget it or minimize it?

I realize that there are people around the world who see horrible things everyday, but I guess being a sheltered westerner, I haven't been exposed. The only dead people I had ever seen were at funerals.

Even to speak is so painful and to eat! and I have a drama exam on friday at school, how do I get rid of them?? I left my country my family friends and job to come and be with my husband. We have been married 1 year it was only just our anniversary. But i think i want out. I love him only i think more as a friend now. He promised he would quit smoking once we got married and he has not yet. We have talked about it several times yet still needs more time. I hate smoking but have given him time to quit. But he has broke his promise. I now feel he just lied to me to so i would marry him. He also told me he does not like kisses i want kisses and some passion all i get are pecks on the cheek i wish he told me this before we got married. I want so much more we dont have sex as much as id like i have told him, but nothing changes. I am really unhappy...i miss my family and friends and my job. I dont work im a house wife im tired of cleaning...esp after his dog he gets everywhere the dog hair drives me crazy and muddy paws. This is not the life i thought i would have is it bad to want out.

be honest, how many of you thought ted haggard was a good and holy man before the whole male prostitute scandal? how many of you if he wrote a book claiming it was the inspired word of god would have believed it? i guess the same goes for anyone who follows the teachings of any religious leader who has been embarrassed in a scandal, like haggard and many catholic priests, and what i'm hearing now is many leaders of mormon churches as well...

Hi eveyone,

I just got a Shih Tzu (born on August 17, 2007) and I'm new at this; therefore, I have several questions I want to ask. I know that a good vet can answer most, if not all, of my questions but I felt I had to ask the community first, since I don't have a vet yet. Anyhow, here are the questions:

1. Feeding:
a) What is the best pet food for this breed?
b) How often do I feed it in a day?
c) What kind of treats should I give it?

2. Grooming
a) How often do I give it a bath/shower?
b) It scratches on occasions, but I search its body and found no ticks or fleas, is this normal?

3. After feeding it, I give it a 5-10 minute break -- or sometimes no time -- to digest and then I take it for a walk, is this okay?

4. Any good sites you can refer me to that specializes on Shih Tzu?

O'Ryan staggered home very late after another evening
with his drinking buddy, Paddy. He took off his shoes to avoid waking his wife,
Mary. He tiptoed as quietly as he could toward the stairs leading
to their up stairs bedroom, but misjudged the bottom step. As he caught
himself by grabbing the banister, his body swung around and he landed
heavily on his rump. A whiskey bottle in each back pocket broke and
made the landing especially painful. Managing not to yell, Flynn
sprung up, pulled down his pants, and looked in the hall mirror to see
that his butt cheeks were cut and bleeding. He managed to quietly
find a full box of Band-Aids and began putting a Band-Aid as best he could
on each place he saw blood. He then hid the now almost empty Band-Aid box
and shuffled and stumbled his way to bed. In the morning, Flynn woke up
with searing pain in both his head and butt and Mary staring at him from
across the room. She said, "You were drunk again last night weren't
you?"
